Taxi service on Cayman Islands

We wanted to get a taxi on the Cayman Islands to go to the turtle farm and beach. Is there a recommended taxi cab service we should use? Which part of the beach is decent and close to turtle farm?

I don't know of a specific taxi service, but there is a spot in the port area, right after you get off the tender boat, where it is really easy to grab a taxi. I just did it in November. We weren't going to the Turtle farm, but we ended up sharing a taxi with someone who was. Sorry I don't have more information.

never been to Cayman b4 huh?

taxi will not have a 'company sign' on the side

nor will a city bus for that matter

they have a higher standard of living than most of the US

they probably wonder if you will rob them . . .

As far as I know they are reputable and safe. There is not much crime on grand cayman - I have never heard of tourists being taken advantage of there.

Yup I'm a newbie. This is only our 2nd cruise. The first cruise we went to Nassau. Sorry I'm oblivious.
