Taxi from WL to Gatorland

Anyone take a taxi from a Disney hotel to Gatorland. I looked on the Mears site and looks like it is $40ish dollars one way. Don't really want the hassle of renting a car for one day. Our plans are pretty loose so probably won't know which day we do Gatorland till the day before. I figure it will be easy to schedule a cab there the night before but what about return. I assume they are pretty quick to call and ask for one. Anyone else use a cab to go to Gatorland/Universal or someplace equally far. Was it fairly easy or did it end up being more expensive/difficult then you expected. I already have one of those bumble bum blow up booster seats so I don't need to worry about a cab with a booster.

Oh and no judgment on Gatorland. I searched and don't see a lot of posts about it on the board. On our 1985 trip to Disney Gatorland was my favorite part of the trip! I know my animal loving 5 yr old will love it!

I generally find taxifarefinder.com to be more accurate (and easier to use.)

$40 to $50 each way sounds about right, but don't forget to budget for the tip, too. And with a cab, there can always be unexpected traffic delays that you will pay for.

There's no need to book a taxi in advance, just have bell services call one up as you're leaving - there will be plenty waiting at the resort, just out of site.

You may need to call a taxi when you're ready to leave Gatorland, I'm not sure if they have cabs waiting there or not.

I would just rent a car for the day. It's easy and the cost is fixed, so you don't have to worry about it costing more than you'd planned. Also, it will be significantly cheaper.
