Has anyone ever done this? And then taken ME to the world? If so - what was the cost/time/etc....
Thanks for sharing! :)

You can look up taxi fare at taxifarefinder.com

I don't recommend this plan. It's the worst of all possible options. Just take the cab to WDW. Or, if you want to save money, rent a car.

Agreed!

Rent a car!
Taxi is going to cost you $140-$150 each way.
A Town Car will run you $110-$120 each way.
Car rental will be this price per week or a one-way rental probably $30-$50 range plus gas, tolls etc

We fly in and out of Sanford quite often depending on airfare and have done one way rentals many many times. Other than taking a little time out of your day it works pretty slick. I usually use Dollar because they have a location at the Wyndham near DTD. I just take a DTD bus and walk over to the Wyndham. I can usually get an economy car for around $25 and then maybe have to put $10 in gas in before dropping it off.

Even easier- Use Alamo/National at the WDW Car Care Center (near the Poly). They will shuttle you to/from anywhere on Disney property when you drop off or pick up your rental car.

I didn't realize they would pick you up!! That is much easier and something I will look into for a trip I have in January. I'll be at Wilderness Lodge so that would be super convenient I think!!

Definitely- it has worked well for us. You need to call them a day before when picking up a vehicle to arrange for the shuttle pickup time/place.

I just checked rates and it's about $20 with Alamo but that's worth saving me an hour of vacation time!! :)

where are you seeing this? I look up a one way Alamo from SFB to Dolphin same day and it's over $150. What am I doing wrong? This sounds like a good idea

Are you looking at a 1 day rental, that sounds more like a week?? I'm going right on Dollar and Alamo's websites.

They are also at the Dolphin

True. If staying at an EPCOT deluxe resort, the Dolphin location is an easy walk. If staying elsewhere on property, the shuttle provided by the Car Care location is usually easier logistically. I believe the one at the Car Care Center has longer hours of operation.

Look around for Rental Cars we have done drop offs at LBV Palace which we think is the easiest, Dolphin & with the Car Care Center National Alamo was always higher priced and we found it not to be the quickest.

First, every rental is different and rates change often.

Second, given the context, I think he's saying that Alamo is $20 more than the other car option he looked at. Not that it's $20.

CCC told us that they can send a shuttle with just an hour's notice FWIW.
