We love to have a sitdown breakfast at Kona Cafe at least once a trip. But it is time consuming to get there.
Anyone have a ball park figure as to the cost to go from All Star Music to the Poly by taxi? also would there be cabs waiting at ASMu or would we need to order one ahead of time? We are not thinking real early but for a 10am ADR.
Last time we went it took nearly an hour between bus and monorail to get to the Poly from Pop!

Thanks!!
Bev

Last fall it cost about $13 to go from CSR to the Poly, but I think taxi rates have gone
up a little recently. You don't have to call ahead of time--just go out front and have
one of the Cast Members hail a cab for you.
I loooove breakfast at Kona Cafe.....enjoy! :)

We recently did this - Epcot Area Resort to Poly was $18 plus tip.

Did All Star Music to both the Grand Floridian and the Poly and both times it was right around $20 plus tip.

Well worth it since its quick and easy and time is money at WDW!

There are usually cabs parked at all the resorts, but if not, the bell staff will call one for you and it will be there very quickly.

Do taxis drop you at the TTC or at the MK gates?

TTC. If you want to have a taxi take you to MK, you are better off telling the driver to drop you at the Contemporary. MK is a short walk from there.

Not that I'm casting doubt but these seem awfully high when it only cost about 25 to go from OKW to Discovery Cove.

From one end to property to the other maybe...I did the fare estimator for 2 things, Pop to Wilderness Lodge which came out to ~18 and Pop to Yacht Club which came out to ~9.

We did Pop to Dolphin (next to YC) this spring & it was $15. I think that estimator is low, or doesn't include any tolls, just mileage.

I think I read that is the case with the estimator. I was offsite once & took a cab to MK. The Mears estimator was $42...and the fare was $55. So it's definitely not accurate.

it isn't taking into consideration the fee to just hire the cab. It's between $10 and $11 I believe

Just getting in the cab costs money but 10-11 is ridiculously high and I've never seen one cost that much.

Believe what you want. I travel on business and have learned that cabs that have lower per mile charges usually have high "start the meter charges" Either way several people on the thread have confirmed their personal experience so the OP has the info they need.

Who knows what the estimator is using. The road signs don't always show the shortest route. Depending on the route the driver uses, for instance, I've seen the fare from Poly to POR vary by $5 during the same trip. And the fare that cost more used a valid route. About $20 anywhere inside WDW sounds about right except for resorts really close by e.g. CBR to BC.

I took a cab from Celebration Hospital once to our resort (POR) and I was surprised at how cheap it was.

Do cabs in FL require carseats for little ones?

We are a family of 6, would we be able to get a taxi(van) outside of CSR or do we need to call and arrange that?

Thanks:flower3:
