Two weeks till we fly to Florida! Yey. Only thing I haven't sorted is travelling from MCO to SpringHill Suites near SeaWorld. We only need to do a single trip because on our return we're using ME from YC so the shuttles you can get with Mears didn't seem that good a price for a single trip. I was thinking we'll probably just want to get there and jump in a taxi, has anyone else done this? Any reason why we shouldn't?

Oh and while I remember I read somewhere about API, we fly with Virgin, do I need to do this?? I've done our ESTA's, think everything else is done! :)

I can highly recommend the Tiffany Town Car Service. Have used them 3 times. Very reliable. Still waiting when flights late. You can book on line where there will also usually be a discount voucher. A very nice way to start a trip and reasonably priced.

We also used Tiffany Town Cars when we went last year as we were heading to Universal first - was great!

Our driver was smart, met us at the airport baggage collection - took all the bags to the car for us - He then drove us (in what I must say was the most torrential rain EVER) to Royal Pacific via a Publix that allowed myself and DH to get some Beer & Wine and oddly enough some mouthwash for my daughter!

The driver was lovely - highly recommended!

estimated taxi fare from MCO to spring hill suites by seaworld is $40 (incl tax & 10% tip)

compare this to Mears or any other company

still, the use of a town car with a private driver might be more appealing than your average taxi cab and cabbie.

I've booked Tiffany Town car for friends of mine last year and this. They are great to deal with. They will also make a short supermarket stop for you too.

No experience with a taxi. It just might be better since Tiffany now ask you to call a free phone number as soon as you are through immigration if you are flying with Virgin because they have 3-4 flights arriving close together and their drivers have had to wait hours in arrivals! That was what they told me just this week.

we took a taxi from MCO to Hard Rock (including brief Supermarket stop) and it was $65 inc 15% tip

From what I've read I think you can only have a supermarket stop if you have booked a return trip. Think we'll get a taxi, I'm presuming it will be like any other airport and there'll just be lined up outside waiting.

As far as APID is concerned, are you travelling with Virgin Holidays as part of a package or with Virgin Atlantic as flight only? If flight only, you will need to do API before you travel by logging in to the VA website with your reference number. If you are with VH, they should have all the info needed for API - or will collect at the airport when you check in.

Thank you. We're flight only so I'll make sure I do it :)
