If you are not going to use MME from MCO to WDW, how would you get there?
DH will be able to see us for a couple days but I am not going to add him to the ressie. I am tired of split ressies that DO NOT work out, room changes, confusion on the part of WDW etc.
MME hasnt had it right for the past 3 years of trips, etc. ( he usually flies different days than I do due to work, and they have never had our departures and arrivals correct, It kills me, it just doesn't seem that difficult :confused3 :scared1: :lmao: :goodvibes )
Last trip I received my doc's THREE differnt times and they were never right. I just dont even want to bother, I booked yesterday, we leave in less than two weeks, I dont have the time to waste trying to get it right. So how can I get DH from the airport to the room, cheaply, he'll only have a carry on.
thanks
:wizard:

Did a taxi once - not worth the $45 plus tip and that was 6 yrs ago, so would likely be more now. We often use a town car service - there are a few excellent ones, but would not call any inexpensive.

OT: You do not need a split ressie if someone is going to join you partway into the vacation.

For using Magical Express, after you add DH to the room reservation and ME reservation, he just shows up at the ME welcoming area. If he goes home early you get his ME confirmation at the resort front desk morning of the day before he leaves, then you get yours the morning of the day before checkout. At the front desk if it doesn't appear at your door.

not correct for pkgs-
we have have an AP and the kids and I will be on the free basic dining plan - we will have buy a one day ticket 3 times, have three ressies 1-for him not being there, 2 -then arriving, 3 -then the rest of the trip once he leaves.
We had a 2 split last time and ended up with more refillable mugs and extra tix's than we can stand or keep track of

MME was a nightmare and we never received doc's with the correct arrivals departures or family members arriving or departing on the correct day

the system lacks flexibility - I would be more than happy to add DH for the two days he may spend with us, but the aggrivation is so not worth it after MANY hours on the phone and it still not being done right - dont even get me going on the trip where I was ASSURED I would not changed rooms and then 3 days into our 18 day trip (all unpacked!!) was told to move - on the last day Blizzard Beach was open before closing for the rest of our trip! Explain that to a 2 and 4 YO - Believe me, I dont want to skip the system, but the system has NOT worked :goodvibes

Have him go to the Mears counter when he gets to MCO. They will shuttle him to WDW and back, for less than $40 round trip. This can't be reserved in advance (because of Magical Express) and the shuttle will probably stop at other hotels before he gets to you, and on his way back to the airport as well.

By MME do you mean ME? I wasn't sure if there was something else called MME!

I'd do the Mears shuttle - not fast but cheaper than a taxi. We use taxi's because we just want to get there quickly - but last month it was $65 plus tip one -way, so not the cheapest way to go!

I was going to suggest the same, but when I checked the website it gives you a Disney number to call now, no longer cost using Mears. So definitely call Mears to be sure they still offer this service to Disney Resorts - they do still offer it the Swan/Dolphin. :thumbsup2
