Taxi fares?

I was looking at my itinerary and there are a couple times when we might want to catch a cab in place of dealing with Disney transportation. Does anyone know what the approximate cab fare would be:

From the Poly to AK?
From AK to DTD?

On another thread people are posting fares. I saw it a couple weeks ago. Anyhow cabs aren't regulated so the fares varie a lot. I think you are looking at about $10 dollars each trip. I would ask the cabby if he'll take $7 or 8 to take you before getting in then throw in a couple for a tip.

Also I'd really take the bus from Poly to AK. You won't be gaining much taking a cab. From AK to DTD can take a while so a cab there isn't a bad idea.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking it might be around $10 and that sounds like the ballpark.

The reason for the cab from the Poly to AK is my DD is terrified of Expedition Everest. I've never ridden it and would like to. There's one night when the AK is open until 7pm and DD is going to the Neverland Club. I was thinking I could run over to AK that evening and ride using the single rider line. I just don't want to waste a lot of time waiting on a bus that night so a cab would likely be the most expeditious route.

An official taxi provider at WDW charges $2.20 for the first 1/4 mile and .55 for each additional 1/4 mile. So from the Poly to AK is about 7.75 miles and from AK to DTD is about 7.5 miles.

So either trip is around $18 plus tip.
