Tax refunds

Has anyone checked their status today? Yesterday mine was giving me an error, then finally the 'progress' graph showed up saying it was being processed to allow 21 days. Today it doesn't show any progress graph but just says 'it is still being processed'. And gives a link for further information which takes me to a summary about the filing procedure. This is the first year our DD20 (full time student) has had any income and it was a good amount but we were able to still claim her, as she still lived at home. Sure hope it is all okay. BTW, I looked hers up and it still shows the progress chart with being processed.

Our received bar is also gone this morning and just says our return is being processed and a date would be given when it's available. I am getting so frustrated. We received our state refund yesterday.

Everyone that is still waiting on a deposit date, do you also have a refer to tax code 152 at the bottom? Or does this only refer to me?

Does anyone know when the WMR site updates daily so I can try to quit stalking it? I called the IRS hotline this morning and spoke to a lady who was incredibly rude and annoyed and made me feel like an idiot.

We also had "refer to tax code 152" on ours before it stated a deposit date. You should be able to click on it, and it will explain what it is for. But from my basic understanding it is just because you are getting a refund, pretty common and nothing to worry about. Here is a link to it: http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc152.html

It also states somewhere that the WMR site updates once a day, usually in the over night hours. You should be able to check it once a day, and your status not change till the following day... But of course it is the government, so anything is possible.

That is the same code message I get. I am hoping that it is just because they are finishing ours up and will be posting a refund date today!
However, the way my luck has gone this year already, it is probably because there is a problem.

I have a feeling if I check it one more time, they are going to lock me out of the site.

I filed yesterday and it was accepted by the IRS in minutes. I checked WMR today and it shows In Process without anything about referring to tax codes. We did have a 1098T but didn't get any education credits because of scholarships and grants.

Not sure why I was quoted, but I don't think everyone gets the tax code things. I just gave them what my basic understanding was from reading what came up when I clicked on the code. It starts off with "Topic 152 - Refund Information". As I read it, all it talks about is the different ways of getting your refund, using WMR, etc, so I assumed it was because we are getting a refund. Ours has been accepted, processed and a deposit date has been given. The "refer to code 152" disappeared after a deposit date was given.

our status has not changed on WMR. getting a little discouraged!! We have no credits that should be holding the refund up. Pretty soon people who filed after us will be getting their refunds. I'm still hoping and praying it gets deposited on Friday.

Must be nice to file so early. We have to wait for the forms from our brokerages and brokerages get until Feb. 15th to send out their forms. They take every bit of that time, too.

Then again, I guess I'll take my investment accounts over a super early refund.

Yes, that's what I'm waiting on now too. They told me 2/15 is the deadline to mail, grrrr.

I did receive my 1098-T from my son's college yesterday, so it's just the investments I'm waiting on now which looks like another 10-14 days before I receive it.

Is there a number to call to make sure everything is okay? Or is there a way to look on Turbo Tax to tell me the exact forms we used? Ours still says received this morning, and I would love some peace of mind. I can handle knowing that it will be delayed because of a certain reason; I just want to know why, and I can feel better about it.

You can go back in to turbo tax and get a PDF of your forms. I compared the headings on my forms to the list that can't be processed yet.

YAY!!! I just checked WMR and I am scheduled for a refund on February 8th. I filed and it was accepted on January 31st. Disney here I come!!!
