Tax refunds

When did you guys file? We are not getting but a couple of hundred of dollars back but before inputted our rental property information we owed money and I am so afraid I did something wrong that is why it is taking so long and it is going to go back to us owing money.

I filed using Turbo Tax on the 30th and it was accepted the 31st. Hopefully yours will update soon!

We e-filed on the 27th and our return was accepted on the 28th. There has been no change on the WMR site and only shows received. Everyone else I have seen who filed during those same dates has already gotten deposit dates. I am starting to get worried something is wrong. We have no edu credits or anything else that should delay our return. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Same boat here, we filed on the 30th and its been processing ever since. Really hope nothing is wrong with it, we had H&R Block do it.

I filed with Turbo Tax Jan 20 and it was early accepted Jan 25 by the IRS- althoughiy said they would not process until Jan 30. Our direct deposit refund was in out account Feb 1.

strange, wonder how they decide who gets it first or not, I also filed with Turbo Tax on Jan 15th, was accepted on Jan 24th,but mine finally updated saying we will get it on Feb 6th?? IRS makes no sense to me,lol..then again either does our government,jmo

What are educational credits? My oldest is in 10th grade so soon I'll need to know this stuff.

I e-filed this morning through freefilefillableforms.com. They send 2 emails once you file. The first one confirms that it was transmitted to the IRS. The 2nd one confirms that it was accepted by the IRS. I already got the 2nd email that it was accepted by the IRS. The 1st email states this could take 24-48 hrs and it only took 35 mins.

The 2nd emails states this:

The IRS issues refunds every Friday, so if you check Where's My Refund and do not get an expected refund date, wait until the next Friday to check again. You can also call (800) 829-4477 for refund status, but wait at least
4 weeks from the day you e-filed.

Assuming that the every Friday part is true, maybe it just depends on how long it takes your bank to process it and post to your account. This would explain why some get theirs Friday, others get it Mon or Tues.
I don't know. Just guessing...

As long as it comes by the time our summer vacation is due in April, I'll be happy.

Finally got my update that both my State and Federal will be to me by Friday the 7th. I e-filed on the 29th.

I'm always amazed everyone is able to file so quickly. We're still waiting on several pieces of paperwork - mainly DH's employment.

just rechecked ours...filed with turbotax on 1/29 was accepted on 1/30 and still says "you should receive your refund in 21 days" Hoping it will update tomorrow morning with a deposit date of at least 2/8....

We just got our paperwork to our accountant today. It will probably be another week or two before we file it. Glad to hear others are getting their returns soon!

State and school filed on 28th thru state website and I believe accepted same day are pending deposit to my acct. Feb.4th. fed filed on 28th accepted on 30th thru turbo tax says expexted depoit date feb 5th.

I filed on the 30th and both state and federal are saying pending, my mom did hers the day before and are already accepted. I hope they get accepted tomorrow. I could really use my state refund right now.
