So when it says all taxes and surcharges included on Skyauction, then basically whatever you bid is all it is going to cost you? Just seems too good because I don't know why they would want to give away a 7 night stay for practically free. Does anyone know why?

Thanks,
Kim

No, go back and read the fine print.

Additonal charges around $195 for a weeks bid. These charges are added on to the highest bid.

herc.

Oh, I was actually looking at the ones today that are on there that say taxes and surcharges included, i thought that meant that they didn't charge you the $195? That is what I was confused about.

Don't forget they charge $15 to process your request, plus addtional surcharges listed IN the auction page, and dont forget to check dates available.Otehr than that they have some great deals sometimes. Flexability is the key

These units are timeshares. Maybe they would prefer to have someone stay for a low fee who might like the place and want to return or buy in.

Timeshares often have great deals on rooms to encourage people to visit.

Kmygrl73,

Actually you are correct. For the auctions that state "Taxes and surcharges included" in bold red, the winner will only pay the bidding amount. SkyAuction does this from time to time, especially in the off seasons.

okay please refer to me to the one you are talking about.

is this one of those where the bid amount is a lot higher than anyone would bid????

RCI who provides these timeshares to skyauction - does not own, does not management, does not care about these properties - they are only interested in their own bottom line.

there is a law suite now in court that if won will stop these.

on the basic that exchangee weeks should only be used by those who exchange them. RCI has a different point of view.

of course I lot of it is timeshare owners who don't understand what they brought, how or when to exchange it, and are using RCI as a banking company - which I think is silly.

thank you - I have never seem one like that before.

time to start looking in all the resorts!!!!

Oh if you win this bid - I would definitely kept a copy of this auction.

I think you will still pay the $15 fee. but the $195 exchange fee is definitely not there.

mudd

not quite a ready set go, but ready set go LIKENESS since you get a certificate for "getawayweeks"

although at first glance they seem similar, they seem to be drawing from different inventory perhaps ( the search engine seems to be the same though )

for september 4 - 30 on RSG 29 resorts with 2 bedrooms appear, on the getaway weeks web site 31 2 bedrooms appear for Orlando resorts ( some duplications of resorts )

stil a good deal , sorta like a bonus week with II or RCI

one tax and service charge covers both

from the website...one caveat, and probably put there to prevent "ebaying" of the certificates

Can I transfer my vacation certificate to another person?

Once your certificate is activated in your name and address, the certificate becomes non-transferable.

spicey cat

they had an auction with tax and service charge in last week for summer bay, which went for approximately 150$ processing included ( sorta like "last call)
