I just booked a vacation for a family who has a severely autistic child. She will only eat a few things, one of which is tater tots. Does anyone know of any place at Disney serving tater tots? I have found the Chef Mickey breakfast, Tusker house breakfast, and Hollywood and Vine breakfast, but any counter service places that you know of?
I really want to help this family. This is their first visit. TIA!!

I have never seen them on any menu.

A buffet may have mini hash browns as a breakfast item, but that's a long shot.

The best place to ask this question is in the disabilites board. The experts over there deal with all kinds of food issues, especially for children with needs.
If there is any they will tell you where or how to get them.

Other than those few breakfast places, that's about it. For TS you could probably contact the restaurant in advance explain the situation and ask that they have them for the night of the reservation. CS you might be a little more limited.... anything else the child will eat?

I wanted to add to my PP.

You can call special diets and they may be able to help you but based upon what others have posted, they really only help to a point.

At a CS place they can't really come up with special meals, they can give you one of the special pre-prepared meals like Kosher or soy cheese pizza or do things like leave off a sauce.

At a TS, particularly the higher end, they may be able to come up with something from scratch from the foods they normally serve but its not going to be exactly an Ore Ida Tater ToT.

Its highly unlikely they will go out and bring in foods that are not part of their menu and of course you can't bring in outside food for them to cook.

I'm not sure what else to post, are they staying at anywhere that has a kitchen like a suite?

My oldest son is on the spectrum and for the longest time, well still now, he only eats McDonald's hash browns but not Wendy's because they look different.

All the breakfast places you mentioned have --alpahabet-- tator tot type potatoes and some have the plain round ones.Cape May breakfast With Goofy also has them on the children's food bar of which anyone can eat from...my dear BIL likes them off the kids best anywhere as he says they--fresher? :lmao:not sure about Crystal Palace but most carry same things just different themes and characters. Columbia House in MK may have them or some sort. can go into allears.net and pull up all the menus and check. Know Bomas also has the rounds but no characters.:thumbsup2

If you find a place that has tator tots, I'm pretty sure that Disney will serve breakfast items anytime for special needs.

Must be something about bacon and tator tots because I run into a lot of parents who's spectrum kids live of this and mcdonalds, I know my little guy is the same way.
