Tastefully Simple Taste-Testing Party

Has anybody been to one? How overpriced is it? I really dread these type of parties, but I've been to one that I really should attend. Just wanting to know what to expect. TIA

Out of all the home parties this is my favorite. The foods are not too expensive. I think most stuff was around $8. Whatever we bought we used. It was delicious!:cutie:

I have. It was a FUN party! Our hostess served several of their frozen drinks ;) (adult). The foods are really good, too.

It was a bit overpriced but not to the point where I went screaming from the party. LOL. It was the best of the "home party" selling things I've been too. I also had a really fun hostess.

I agree!! I buy stuff from a friend of mine so I kind of avoid going to the parties but when I go I go hungry because you get to taste alot of stuff. Prices are very reasonable. I love the Italian Romano Cheeseball mix.

I really love Tastefully Simple products...and the parties are fun! Where else do you get to taste-test things before you buy them? I love the pork chop seasoning (Seasoned Salt), the fuzzy pear drink and the potato soup! :thumbsup2. And if you love garlic, the Garlic Garlic seasoning is wonderful on garlic bread!

Have fun!

Personally, I thought the foods were a bit overpriced when you consider that many of them still required other ingredients. For instance, the apple bread mix tastes great, but you still have to add the shredded apple. Heck, if I have to shred the apple, I could make my own apple bread from scratch.

Many of the dips are season packet which you add to sour cream or cream cheese. I thought the warm cheese dip was tasty and it comes with two packets of season which isn't too terribly unreasonable.

So, my advice, pick something that tastes good, but check to see what other ingredients have to be added (bought) by you.

I love Tastefully Simple! My favorites are the beer bread- just add beer and bake, pepper jam- thrown on a block of cream cheese and served with crackers, spinach and herb dip mix- mix with mayo & sour cream and dip the beer bread in, vanilla bean drink mix- blend with ice and milk. Buying those I'd probably spend $35 and would get more than 1 serving out of each. Have fun!

I don't have, or even go to, other parties. I love TS, though. For one, their stuff is reasonable. And, for two, who doesn't love to eat?!?

Ooohhh.... the truffle brownies! :thumbsup2 :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay:

Haven't had them in years. Gonna run off and find a new TS consultant right now!

I'm going to one this weekend that my sister is having. I like them- because you go home with stuff and DH doesn't mind because it's food!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Beerbread is my staple purchase when I get the TS invite, and the dry dip mixes. I know it's going to run me 20-25 to "attend", but these items can be put in the pantry for the quick, I need to make --------- situations and they do taste good. I also like the vidalia onion salad dresing, but at over $8 a bottle....:scared1:

I love Tastefully Simple and buy their products regularly. I don't think they are overpriced at all - yes, higher than you can get in a grocery store, but I love the simplicity of them.

Hands down, my favorite is the Classy Chocolate pound cake mix. I've taken it to three parties over the Christmas holidays and people raved about it. The only thing different I did was drizzle chocolate syrup over the top of it. It's also yummy with vanilla ice cream!

I have been selling Tastefully Simple for going on 6 years now. Pretty much everything is under $10, and requires one or two other items to prepare, if anything. Check out the website to see what there is, and what sounds good to you. Be prepared to sample quite a few products, I normally do at least 25.

I am a TS consultant... and one of the reasons I signed up was I love the parties... you talk and eat and drink... I have fun.

I love that people aren't buying things they may never use or shouldn't be spending money on... it's food!

They food is great and reasonable priced for gourmet food... now I do agree with other posts that some of the items are higher than others. So I only use those on "special" occasions. The products only need one or 2 other ingredients to make but on the website they have hundreds of other recipes to make for the products...

My DH calls it Tastefully Addicting... the man loves the beer bread and spinach and herb dip. My faves are the spinach artichoke, sweet jalapano pepper jam and the fiesta party dip.

BTW... I don't cut apples for the Apple Cake, I use applesauce... it is great that way, nice an moist.

Feel Free to PM me if you have any questions.

I also sell TS (but I stopped doing parties awhile ago and just sell to family and friends). I think the best values are the spices like Garlic Garlic, Spinach and Herb and Onion Onion and the Fiesta (my husband uses this daily). They are great additions to many dishes and they last awhile. Plus, if you have unexpected company you can quickly whip up a chip dip.

I always keep the Beer Bread on hand as well as a dessert or two. It is amazing how often they come in handy whether for entertaining or a quick meal. The Vidalia Onion dressing and the Potato soup are also excellent.
