Tasha's Post Baby Journal (Comments of course welcome!)

Happy Belated Birthday little one!!!!

Hope you are doing well and glad she enjoyed her first time in a restaurant!!!!!

Tasha -- I have been thinking of you and am so glad to hear that things are going well. OG is our family's favorite restaurant -- how wonderful that Kylie enjoyed the experience. And I am glad she was such an angel for you at the movies. Drop us a note here when you get a minute so we will know you are all doing okay! :grouphug:

Glad dinner & the movie went well. Hope you're having a good week and enjoying that precious Angel!!

Hey, everyone! We are all doing well. Just busy. Kylie's getting big and learning so fast. She has changed so much this month. Last night began the first night of our letting her cry it out plan. It went wonderfully! Hopefully tonight will go just as well! I do have some pictures of Kylie at 3 months but don't have them on the computer yet. I'll post them when I get the chance. Thanks for asking about us. Like I said, I am not on here as much anymore but will occasionally try to give updates. Have a great day!

As promised here are a few pictures of Kylie:

*Her hair wouldn't stay down for anything at 2 months. It is doing much better now but is still a bit wild! LOL!*

She is so adorable!!!!! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Hope the letting her cry goes well. I know it's hard at first but you'll be happy later and she will too I think.

Keep on

Hi Tasha ~ Kylie is getting soooooo big.

Lovely piccies ~ Thanx for posting.

BEAUTIFUL pictures! Thanks for sharing!! Hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Hey, everyone! Glad you like the pictures! Well, here's a quick update. The crying it out plan was a lifesaver. She cried the first few nights but doesn't even cry anymore! I put her to bed at 8:30 and her little body has adjusted to that apparently b/c by 8:15 she is ready to eat, get changed, and go to bed. I will definitely be doing the crying it out thing w/any future children as well. Kylie actually seems to like being on a schedule and so do I!

Well, this is TMI but I finally got my period today! It is a relief and a burden lifted off of me but man, I forgot how crampy and terrible it was! It's been a year since I had one so I am not used to it! :guilty:

Scott and I had been planning to take Kylie to WDW next year during the week of her 1st b-day but we have now decided to wait until she is 2 instead. We want to save a little more money so we can stay at the Poly 1 night and POFQ the remainder of our stay. If we go next year we would only be able to afford a value resort so we decided we'd just postpone it a year. We'll probably go to the beach or something next year. I figure it will be better to take Kylie when she's 2 vs. 1 anyway. She'll be off the bottle, potty-trained (hopefully!) and able to sleep in a bed. So we won't have to bring formula, diapers, a diaper bag, or get a crib. It will work out better on us. Plus, I think Kylie will get more out of it when she's 2 than when she's 1. We also want to start trying for baby #2 around the time Kylie turns 2 so maybe we'll bring back a little Disney souvenir! ;) Scott has suddenly decided he would like to take a Disney Cruise someday too. So after our next WDW trip, I guess we will be saving for that. Who knows? It's all a long way off still. Anyway, nothing new other than that. I'll post again when I get a chance. I hope you are all doing well!

Hey, everyone! Wow! A lot has changed since I posted yesterday! Scott and I have been talking everything over and he wants to go to WDW next May afterall and just stay at POP so that is what we are going to do as long as money permits. We also have been discussing what we want as far as our future plans are concerned. We only plan to have 1 more child and we want them pretty close in age. My brother and I were only 29 months apart and were best friends and still are. I know it will be hard having 2 so close in age at first but I really want them to have the bond that I shared with my brother growing up. My 2 half-sisters are 25 months apart and they fight constantly but they are also very close. Scott wants them to be close in age for the same reasons that I do but he also wants to have all of our children while we are in our 20s so that we will have a lot of time as a couple when the children are grown and we will still be relatively young. So anyway, to make a long story short we think (if all goes well) that we are going to start trying for our 2nd (and last!) child around Sept. 2006. That is another reason we are going to just go ahead and go to WDW next year instead of 2007. Call us crazy but it sounds like a plan that will work for us. It is nice to have a plan even though it may not go according to schedule due to unforseen circumstances or something. Anyway, we also really want to take a Disney cruise someday and it will be nice to know we can do that in a few years since we won't have any little babies anymore. After our kids start school I am going to finish my degree and get a job. Doesn't it sound like a nice plan? Hopefully it will go the way we want it to if God agrees! ;)

Hi Tasha ~ Glad you are doing so well. I am a big fan of plans, sometimes they work out sometimes they don't, but at least I have worked them through in my own mind and I am more prepared. Sounds a fantastic idea you both have had.

Hi Tasha!

Sounds like everything is going well for you and your family. :goodvibes That's great! :Pinkbounc

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :sunny:

hi tasha--seems like you guys are doing great--i love coming to your journal and reading all the kylie updates too :)

Hi Tasha,

We took our DD, Caley, to WDW when she was 10 months and 14 months (Emily was 2 years old at the time.) and both trips were amazing! We drove down both times and Caley and Emily both slept through the majority of the drive down to Orlando. Once we got there, she was fascinated by all the people, the sights, and the sounds. She loved the rides too! I know that she probably doesn't remember those trips, but when we took her at 14 months, she got so excited when she saw Cinderella's castle. princess: I bet you, Kylie, and Scott will have tons of fun and like you said.... maybe you'll bring home a "little souvenir" too. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend, Tasha! :sunny:
