Day 3 Seaworld and DTD

The weather today has been 80 degrees, shorts and t.shirts. At this rate I will have to wash one of the only pair of shorts I brought with me, so much for the cold weather everyone predicted.

After breakfast at the Golden Corral, today was a relaxing day in Seaworld.
Shamu got a hat and scarf for Christmas

DD loves to feed the dolphins but to our disappointment you couldn’t get near unless you have bought fish. This was not possible as they had already sold out for that time slot. The area is chained off and the only interaction you can get is at the top end were the dolphins hardly ever go. The main area is still out of bounds after feeding , nobody is allowed in . The last time we went (05) it was open to anyone .

Still it didn’t spoil our day . Went to watch the new Shamu show which was good but did not bother with the Blue Horizons show . We were not too keen on the new show at bit too "arty" for our liking.

The evening was spent at DTD (Yes again) and we grabbed something to eat at Wolfgang Pucks. Food was ok but nothing special . Felt very sorry for the young man on the till. It was really busy and he coped well until he kept pressing the wrong key and getting the orders mixed up, then he had to run round to the kitchen to get the Chef to alter it. He sure got his exercise in in the time it took us to eat our meal .

Day 4 Universal Studios

Woke up today to quite a foggy start and not knowing what clothes to put on . Another easy day at Universal studios. Very quiet as the majority of people seem to be going to IOA. We had no trouble getting on any rides and even managed to get DD on Twister. She does not like roller coasters or rides that have loud noises so it was an achievement, but she gave it the thumbs up :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 . We were able to ride MIB twice . The only real queue was for ET and I think that was to allow the lady to type the names on the cards.

Had an early lunch at Mel's diner. Got another bench outside of the Monsters café for the parade. We had an hour to wait but it was nice to sit in the sun . The Parade performers were out in abundance before chatting with the guests and having photos taken, the Ref had DD doing her excercises and we could not get rid of “Splat – the artist” but it was all good fun and the time passed quickly.

The parade was fantastic, but we were not asked to help as DD is clearly not 18 . They required a lot of helpers to hold the balloons up .

The park got very busy whilst the parade was on and we came out after it had finished.

Evening meal was at Sweet Tomatoes, one of our favourite places. Fantastic meal, soups, salads, pasta, pizza, jacket potatoes and then if you have room left a good selection of desserts . Then back to the Hotel to chill out.

great report

thanks for sharing

Thanks for the great Christmas photos.

Two great days. I would love to see the parade at Universal, it sounds great. Sweet Tomatoes sounds really nice, I would like to try that on our next trip.
