Is this show gone at AK? If so, what will replace it? And will there be a show in June 2006 (our trip date)?

Thanks,
DJ

Hi DJ,

This is from today's park update at mouseplanet.com:

Tarzan Rocks – scheduled to close on January 21, 2006. Its rumored replacement is a show based upon Finding Nemo, which would debut in November 2006 after the Theater in the Wild gets a complete makeover. The stage, lighting and sound system will all be gutted and the theater will be completely enclosed, as with the Lion King theater in Camp Minnie-Mickey.

Thanks! Well I guess we won't see the new show this summer, but I love the fact that they are going to enclose it so you can get a break for the heat. We will just have to go there on our trip in 2007!

They will need that area for the lines to EE

Tarzan was a great show! On a side note ... Tarzan is going to be on Broadway in NYC within the next few months. Can't wait to see it!

We enjoyed Tarzan seen it in Dec trip maybe for the last time. :Pinkbounc

Why is a Finding Nemo show opening up in AK? Doesn't Epcot already have something Nemo-related? I believe it has something to do with an interactive turtle...

To further complicate things, I thought the relationship between Pixar and Disney expired some time ago after the last Pixar Film was released under the Disney banner. Disney still holds the rights to the Pixar characters? :confused3

One of the things we love about WDW is all the great bands, muscians, & entertainment.

I have always thought the "Band" in "Tarzan Rocks" was the tightest group of muscians I've ever heard. When the show was over, people would leave as the band continued to play and I'd think "Wow! Don't leave, you're missin the best part."

I just hope they incorporate that band into the Nemo show.
