Tarzan Rocks

I heard last week that the Tarzan Rocks show is closing...Does anyone know??? My family LOVES that show!!!

Yes, it is closing. I'm not sure when but it may be at around the new year.

DD14 and I love that show.... We had never seen it before our trip this October...So sad to see it go!

I think it was announced it will go until Spring. Probably when Expedition Everest opens Tarzan Rocks will close. It is closing because it is an open air theatre. They are supposed to redo the theatre.

From my understanding it is closing do the obvious noise polution that Expedition Everest will cause to the atmosopshere of the show. So They are either moving it, fixing this, or getting rid of it.

But all in all you can blame the Yetti.

Correct in that they are supposed to close the theater for a while to redo it into an enclosed theater. The show itself is supposed to be moved to Hong Kong Disneyland. Rumors of a new show include something around The Jungle Book. I'm glad it's still running, I will have to see it one last time next month. I really enjoy the music.

I will not miss this attraction. Yeah, Tarzan may be cute and all but I think a fresh attraction will be nice.

Another rumor I have seen/heard on the new show replacing TR is a Nemo themed show.

I've heard the Nemo rumor too.

Last I heard, they're closing the show down in January, I believe? I think the passholder newsletter made mention of it, that if people want to see it, they needed to go while they still can. Unfortunately, I don't have the newsletter anymore & DH put the passes up so they don't get lost--I don't know where he hid them & he's not home, so I can't look it up online.

it used to be a jungle book themed show.. it wasnt brilliant..
Id be suprised if they bring it back...even under a different guise..

It is closing. THey are re-doing the theatre to close it (more like Little Mermaid at MGM) and Nemo is definately, definately, definately coming in. A friend has already been hired for the workshop version in LA/NYC. Tarzan is moving to Broadway. THe new show (Nemo) will also probably be going to Broadway at some point.

The sweetpea will be sad to see this go. One of the sweetpea's fave shows thats for sure. Will definately have to catch it this week. Maybe more than once to get the sweetpea's fill of it.

My 6 year old DS loves Tarzan. The first trip he fell asleep during the whole show and couldn't wake him up. The second trip he got sick on the one day we went to Animal Kingdom; missed it again. I went to Guest Relations to ask about any Tarzan merchandise and they gave me a yellow and orange dinosaur and told me to tell DS that Tarzan had sent it. This is the only toy my macho son will take to bed, after all it's from Tarzan. Does any one know if there is anywhere is Disneyworld to meet Tarzan? It sounds like he won't be around in March when we return.
