Plan to see it for the first time in April. I didn't go based on similar reviews last year, but when I saw a clip of the roller bladers on tv I just knew we'd have to see it. The kids should love the roller blading!

Tarzan is a must-see show for me every year. I'm not sure if the rest of my family feels the same... but they seem to enjoy it and never complain about seeing it. Maybe I'm crazy, but we usually sit towards the back of the front section... great seats there!!!

(By the way - this is my 400th post - I'll have to aim for at least 600 before our trip in July!!!)

:wave2: princess:

We saw it for the first time in 2002 and it was Awesome!!! My fav show at AK. We saw it again in 2004 and they had changed singers and they were AWFUL!! So hopefully they have different singers this time because I really like this show. ::yes::

Its okay, I do like the rollerblading guys a lot. I much, much, much prefer the FOLK- better music and atmosphere, more colorful, more fun and most importantly....Tumble monkeys!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: I just love me some tumble monkeys

We saw it in 2001 and loved it. Will be going to see it again in May this year. :jumping1:

I liked it okay when I saw it for the first time... subsequent viewings have gotten tedious. The "showchoir" stylings on the beloved music are just too much for me. The last time I watched it, I found it so cheesy, I actually kind of got embarressed to be there. My boyfriend's take on it the first time he saw it: "Son of MAN that stank!" Always a comedian! :rolleyes2

The music is just absolutely awful. If it weren't for the music it would probably be a great show. But Phil Collins is just wayyyyyyyyyy past his prime, and has been for about 15 years now. I get hives just thinking about having to listen to that music ever again... *shudder*

Maybe I could wear industrial strength earplugs...

we skipped it our last visit but will probably do it this time. It was way too hot and uncomfortable to begin with but I didn't think it was 'Disney'.

Love it!
Didn't get to see it on my last trip and was verrrry disappointed. The theater can be stifling but last time I was there they had some major fans going... of course it was like 100 degrees and people were dropping like flies all over the AK. I say grab yourself a frozen lemonade and enjoy the show!

Saw it in 2001. Didn't see it in 2003 or 2004, but plan to do it for our trip in May. We really liked it. Of course, DS thought all of the roller blading was the coolest!

I thought it was ok, but we probably won't go see it again. I liked that it had live music, I play bass so it was fun to watch that, but overall it didn't compare to the other shows we saw at WDW.

I liked it a lot, but haven't seen it in along time. When I go next month, seeing that is going to be a priority for me at the AK.

WE LOVE THIS SHOW!!

We always see it 2 or 3 x per trip!

Love the roller skating.. love the music.. love the ariel ballet, love the singing, love the frozen lemonade..

did i say.. WE LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!
oh, and my son (age 5) wants to be tarzan. Its great for getting him to eat up his vegetables!

I like looking at Tarzan too.. so I dont mind the show one bit!!!

We saw Tarzan Rocks once and will never see it again. We do annual "ratings" on the ride home each trip and the year we saw Tarzan Rocks it was in last place, scoring lower than the AstroOrbiter (so that's telling you something). We hate it!

Phil Collins isn't "hip" in any way, but we still like the music from Tarzan...however, the attempts to make the songs "hip" and "rockin'" just make me laugh. We despise the X-Games-like atmosphere, too.

Part of the reason we dislike the show so much is that it replaced Journey to the Jungle Book which we thought was one of the best shows Disney has ever put on (and now that Hunchback's gone, too, there's no shows that our family of grown kids and adults will even watch).

Hopefully they'll replace this dreadful show real soon!

Believe it or not this is actually one of DH's must do's!! It is really hot in there (we go in June :sunny: ), though.

I like it until it gets to the park where Turk raps.... that is when we leave.

I don't like it. It was so loud in there that I had to leave with my youngest DS. However, my older DS stayed with my DH and parents and he loved it. I think it would be a lot better ( or at least tolerable for me) if it wasn't so loud in there.

eeyore0062 I like it until it gets to the park where Turk raps.... that is when we leave.

WHAT? Is there really rapping at this show? We like rock music, can even take Phil Collins, but rapping? :headache: No thank you!

I was planning to try to catch the Tarzan show on our next trip but, if it includes rap "music", I think not.

We like it, ok... we've left early twice, but found that even our toddler enjoyed it... or at least 3/4 of it :)
