Ok, that will do it for today! More Animal Kingdom later!

Great pictures :thumbsup2

Loving the tiger one by the water, made me laugh

I am not a fan of Primevil Whirl, all that jerking around is defo not good. Hope it didn't bother Andy too much on your last day, nothing worse than doing your back in :sad2:

I was reading your TR when my Madilynn woke from her nap and climbed in to my lap. She saw the Nemo pictures and then said "who's that?" I said, "her name is Taryn." "NOOOOO Mom, that's Ariel!" :goodvibes

I love the tigers! They are my favorite animal, if DH had let me I would have watched them for hours.

His back ended up being ok, I just felt bad. I don't ever notice how rough rides are, but I guess we will cross that one off our list for next time...or at least I'll ride it alone.

Awwwww! That is so adorable and it makes me happy!! :goodvibes Maybe Disney just needs to hire me after all....hmm now to convince Andy to move to Florida...

Day Six (11/14/09) cont.

"Oh look....more animals!"

Oh man....life! It's crazy. Everytime I tell myself I will focus on finishing this TR, I get side tracked! But it's all good. I was focusing on finding my new job and I found one. I will be the new Assistant Manager for a store opening up in Richmond called Francesca's Collections. I'm sad to be leaving Coach as I have been there for almost 3 years, but they can't offer me anything that will keep my bills paid for right now. I'm still excited to try something new and this store looks like it will be adorable!!

I also may be chopping off all my hair, so maybe some pictures next time. But for now...onto the trip report!

When last I left you we have finished on the Maharahjah Jungle Trek. We had to make our way to the very front of the park so we could dine at Rainforest Cafe, so eventually I tore myself away from the animals. I figured we had enough time before that though to hit It's a Bug's Life because I really wanted Andy to see all the details in the Tree of Life!

We barely had time to snap these pictures! There were no lines and we were seated inside the theater almost immediately. We enjoyed Flick and the gang of course and I made sure not to warn Andy of the bugs crawling underneath you, hehe. After that we again headed toward the front of Animal Kingdom, and took some more pictures as well.

The Rainforest Cafe really is a fun place to eat. I mean sure it's not the greatest food I have ever eaten, but I still like to come here. I just really enjoy the atmosphere of the whole place! I think Andy thought it was ok, we may not eat here next time, but I wanted him to see it! We were in the Gorilla Room:

74HoneymoonDay6.jpg

75HoneymoonDay6.jpg

76HoneymoonDay6.jpg

I ended up ordering the Lava Nachos, which if you can believe it, are much larger than they look in this picture. I think I ate 1/4 of them.

77HoneymoonDay6.jpg

Andy just had like a Rainforest Burger (maybe that's what it was called?) and a side Caesar salad.

78HoneymoonDay6.jpg

Once we finished eating it was time to ride the Kilimanjaro Safari! I love this attraction so much. If I had to pick one ride I could not miss in AK, this would be it. Again I took a couple of photos on the way to the ride:

79HoneymoonDay6.jpg

80HoneymoonDay6.jpg

(This view is literally off to the side and the only reason we saw it was because Andy wanted to go to the smoking section. Disney never leaves an area bare! Always details!)

For the Safari I swear we maybe waited 5-10 minutes at the most, I couldn't believe how short the line was! I wish I was able to take more photos but our camera didn't do very well taking pictures at that speed, so here are the ones that didn't turn out too blurry:

After the safari, Andy was starting to feel a little tired so I agreed we would do one more trail and go back to the resort. I had wanted to see Festival of the Lion King, but a nap was in order and of course, we can always hit it next time! So we headed over to the Pangani Trail:

And that was it for the Animal Kingdom! We made the long journey back to the buses which luckily pulled up right as we got there so we didn't have to wait! Once we got back to our resort, we did indeed take a nap for like 2 hours before we had to get up for our dinner reservation in Downtown Disney.

Once I finally forced DH awake, we headed over to the dock and caught a boat to Downtown Disney. We had made our reservations at Planet Hollywood because we had a voucher for $15 off our meal. I pretty planned on buying one thing and splitting it so that other than our drinks, our meal was pretty much free.

I will say....here is where I made my mistake. The food was good and all, but going to Planet Hollywood, on a Saturday night at 7pm? BAD IDEA! Don't do it! I'm pretty sure all the locals had come out that night and they had a DJ playing this loud music all night long. We could barely hear ourselves think in this place and I just felt so crowded. Oh well, lesson learned.

101HoneymoonDay6.jpg

This was what was above our table!

102HoneymoonDay6.jpg

We ordered the VIP platter which was meant to serve four people, and I feel like this was plenty of food to make a meal for two. It included the Chicken Crunch, Buffalo Wings, Texas Tostados and Spinach dip. As I said, the food was still good! Again, nothing out of this world, we enjoyed it.

After our meal, we casually strolled through DD, but man this place was a mad house. There were so many people here I couldn't believe it. We swung into Goofy's Candy Co so I could pick up some snacks to eat for our show.

And then finally, we reached the Cirque du Soleil tent for our 9pm show!! I was so excited to see this. I had seen some shows on PBS and had heard nothing but good things about the one in Florida. I couldn't really take pictures during the show so this is all I have:

105HoneymoonDay6.jpg

This show was AMAZING! We both loved it. Andy admitted once again that he thought he would find it boring, but he said he thought it was awesome. I just couldn't believe how much we enjoyed it. It is a bit pricey, but man if you can do it, DO IT! At least once!

Well that concludes our last full day in Disney World! I still have one more day to post, so be prepared to see my sad, I don't want to go, face.

Great update, loving all the pics :)

Need to find out how we can do the Tree of Life Trail without doing A Bugs Life (Not keen on this one).

What are these little guys?

Cirque Du Soleil looks amazing and wherever you see it, it always has great reviews.

Oh gosh, your TR is nearly over :(

They are actually naked mole rats, the are kind of cute in an ugly way!! I think Kim Possible's little sidekick animal is one.

I know, Im sad that its almost over too :(

I just caught up on all of your posts (I have REALLY been slacking lately!). I love all your pictures from the Maharajah Jungle Trek. You got some great close ups of the ducks, which DH tried oh so hard to do himself, but couldn't quite master it! :lmao:

I think we made the same mistake you did with Planet Hollywood. I don't remember if it was a Friday or Saturday night, but it was packed and we waited forever for a table. The music was so loud inside that conversation was basically impossible. Who knows though, maybe it is like that every night? :confused3 We also had gotten off at the wrong DTD bus stop and had to walk the entire length of DTD just to get there!

I'm sad it's almost over! The last posts of a TR are always so depressing because it reminds me of how sad I was to leave Disney!

Actually DH took the pictures of the ducks and a lot of the other bird shots. He used to take photography in high school so he is much better at it than I am.

As for Planet Hollywood, I had eaten there for lunch one other time before and it was actually pretty empty and quiet. Honestly, if we hadn't had the voucher I would have picked somewhere else.

I'm sad it's almost over too...sigh...I need another Disney vacation!!

What type of sling bag is Andy using and was it cumfortable hauling around WDW?

Also the second picture with your bridesmaids was very stylish!

Well, actually my mother received this bag for free for something or another and knew I was looking for something just like it. This was the bag I was looking to purchase before she gave it to me and this is pretty close:

The bag was very comfortable though! It worked really well for us.

And thank you!:goodvibes

Day Seven (11/15/09)

"Please don't make me leave!" Part One

Awww, I'm so sad to be on my last day at Disney I almost don't want to write it. However, I must finish my trip report! I cannot leave it unfinished.

That sunday we woke up, probably around 9:00am, and went into a packing frenzy trying to figure out how to fit everything in our suitcases and carry on bags. I also hadn't mentioned this, but we had accidentally ordered two cases of water from Costco instead of one...so now we had a completely unused case that we had no idea what to do with it.

We finished up and made our way to the lobby so I could see what I could do with the water. Costco had told me if I sent the package back they could refund the water to my card. I found a CM who was very helpful. He said he would try to have it sent back, but I told him if they weren't able to, to just dispose of it. A couple weeks after our trip, I received an e-mail from Costco stating they had refunded my water. (Thanks Disney!!) After the lobby, we checked in our bags and got on a bus to head over to the Magic Kingdom!

Once we got to the park, we hopped onto a monorail so that we could head to the Polynesian for our ADR at 11:05.

We took a picture on the monorail. I told Andy to make a sad face because we were leaving, but in true Andy form, when I ask for a certain face in a picture, he does the exact opposite. He really was sad to be leaving.
01HoneymoonDay7.jpg

We also caught a glimpse of the Mickey wreath hanging in the Contemporary resort:
02HoneymoonDay7.jpg

Once we got to the resort, we were about a half hour early so we decided to explore. I bought some pins in the gift shop to give to my Maid of Honor who watched our house for us while we were gone. Then we traveled over to the pool and sat in the smoking area until it was time to get our food! Here are some photos we took of the resort:
03HoneymoonDay7.jpg

04HoneymoonDay7.jpg

We were seated almost immediately for our ADR's at Kona Cafe and I was excited because I forgot that it was brunch on Sunday's, so I could actually order the infamous tonga toast which I had never tried before. You can't see it in the picture but there was a side of strawberry compote that I poured all over my toast! Andy got a ham and cheese omelet I believe.

05HoneymoonDay7.jpg

06HoneymoonDay7.jpg

Our meal was very delicious! I would get the tonga toast again for sure. We made our way back to the monorail so we could head back to the Magic Kingdom. We still had another gift to by for my DBiL's girlfriend who did Andy's hair for the wedding. I recommended we hit the Emporium. Once we purchases her gifts, I kind of wanted to head back into the park and ride at least one thing but Andy didn't want to, so we headed back out.

I did hug one of the brick supports on the way out and said I didn't want to go! Andy laughed and pulled me off (He thought I was joking;)) We had to head to the Dolphin so I took a couple of pictures and then we got on the bus.

07HoneymoonDay7.jpg

08HoneymoonDay7.jpg

After a nice little bus ride we made it to the Dolphin and then headed over to Fantasia Gardens to play a round of mini golf! It must have been a busy day because we did have to wait for our turn a little bit. I just ate some frozen lemonade and we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day.

Once we got on the court, I took a ton of pictures!!

At the end of the game, they give you complimentary golf balls! We didn't need them so I ended up giving them to my dad.
16HoneymoonDay7.jpg

Well, part one is done. I'll be sure to post part two soon....and then it's all over. :sad1:

Mmm, those potatoes from your brunch pictures look delicious!!

We also did mini-golf this past trip, and it was our first time doing it at one of the Disney courses. We did Winter Summerland though. But Fantasia Gardens looks awesome too! Was it difficult? I read it was the more difficult one between the two.

So sad it's almost over! :sad2:

Actually, I liked Fantasia Gardens. There are two courses, the one we did, and the boring, harder one on the other side. We pretty much hit most of the holes on par or just slightly over, so I considered it pretty average.

Aww I'm sad that your TR is coming to an end, have really enjoyed reading along with you.

Not a bad way to spend your last day though, the mini golf looks like fun and I didn't know they gave you complimentary balls at the end, how sweet :)

Looking forward to Part 2
