Taryn and Andy's Honeymoon Extravaganza!! 11/9/-11/15 Trip Report Updated: 3/24/10

Aww you totally should, I rode it 4 times in one day once!! I don't know if I ever mentioned it before, but I hope your X-mas trip went well! Can we expect a trip report? ;)

The trip was an experience! I am hoping to get it started this weekend!

You are in luck! I found a picture of the ornament online:

It's just too cute!

This is the same ornament we got on our honeymoon in Disney last may! I love it and it looked great on our tree! :)

Oh that ornament is gorgeous, those ears are just too cute.

Lol, well the main thing is he tried it out and wasn't too averse to it.

Yup! Next mission is Rockin' Roller Coaster!

The trip was an experience! I am hoping to get it started this weekend!

Can't wait to read it!!

This is the same ornament we got on our honeymoon in Disney last may! I love it and it looked great on our tree! :)

It looked great on our tree too! We were so excited at how perfect it was when we found it

Oh yes, he has to try that out, is a crime not too.

Day Five (11/13/09) cont.

"I have just met you, and I love you!"

As promised I said I would post the missing Mary Poppins Carousel horse on this post:

After we got off the Great Movie Ride, we still had some time to kill before our lunch reservation at 12:25. My plan was to go see the Voyage of the Little Mermaid but the next show wasn't starting for a little bit and I didn't want to waste time waiting in the line, so I decided to do something we hadn't originally planned on! I grabbed DH and ran over to the Magic of Disney Animation studio. We asked a CM if we could skip the movie so we could just go straight to the Meet and Greets and we were told to go back through the gift shop. Once we made it through I immediately saw the UP characters and knew we had to get our pictures taken with Dug, Carl and Russel!

The Meet and Greet had taken longer than I thought and it was close to the time of the next Mermaid show! Andy and I made our way back out, but did manage to stop for a picture with Disney's Oscars.

19HoneymoonDay5.jpg

By the time we walked out of the gift shop, a Playhouse Disney show had just let out and the area was flooded with people! We tried our best to squeeze through without hurting any little ones. By the time we got to VotLM they had already closed the doors for the show and now you had to wait for the next one. Well, so much for that. We decided to head to the Streets of America instead and play around there.

20HoneymoonDay5.jpg

21HoneymoonDay5.jpg

We didn't have much time left before our ADR but we were still a little early arriving at the Sci-fi Diner, so I managed to catch a small peak of the Jedi show that was going on and had my picture taken on a speeder bike.

22HoneymoonDay5.jpg

23HoneymoonDay5.jpg

We waited for a bit in the waiting area since we still were early for our ADR and Sci-Fi was apparently on everyone else's agenda that day! It was only like 15 minutes maybe before we had our hostess come and seat us in our car. I was so excited for Andy to see this place, mostly because I knew he would think it was awesome and also because it worked well with our 50's theme wedding! (Guess where we ate dinner? ;))

24HoneymoonDay5.jpg

25HoneymoonDay5.jpg

First order of business was to get me a milkshake!! I got the oreo one and Andy ordered some crazy drink that glowed. Normally, Andy is a beer or Jack Daniels man, so I thought it was hilarious when he ordered this, but he really wanted the glow cube and he said it tasted kind of like lemonade. (I don't drink at all, mostly because I hate the taste, so to me it tasted yucky) He did end up ordering a beer to go with it :rotfl2:

26HoneymoonDay5.jpg

30HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Our waitress was nice enough to take some pictures of us in our car! Even though we were sharing with another family you can hardly tell, especially in the first picture which is our favorite:

27HoneymoonDay5.jpg

28HoneymoonDay5.jpg

29HoneymoonDay5.jpg

DH and I both ordered the same thing: Bacon Cheeseburgers. Those pretty much filled us up, but we still got dessert with our DP so I ordered an apple crisp and a fruit salad. The fruit I poured into one of the zip lock bags I had in our backpack and I was able to snack on some fruit later in the day!

31HoneymoonDay5.jpg

32HoneymoonDay5.jpg

After lunch, we decided to go ahead and get in the Star Tours line! This was the first time I think I realized that this ride really just needs an update. I mean yeah it's still fun and I enjoyed riding but I'm excited for the new one! DH liked it but we were both more amused by this Brazilian family that were freaking out the entire ride. I mean it was almost as if they thought it was real, but it was funny and they seemed to have a good time.

(Continued in next post)

After Star Tours we walked over to the Indiana Jones Stunt show, which was getting ready to start soon. Amazingly enough, it was barely filled by the time we got there so we got some pretty decent seats. As much as I would have loved to volunteer for this show again, I resisted since I didn't want to leave DH by himself. It was a lot of fun to watch though, always is. I think I've done this show every single time I've been to WDW.

36HoneymoonDay5.jpg

We decided after the show that we had time to make the next VotLM, so we made our way over. I managed to snap a photo of some of the pretty greenery on the way! I also snapped a NON flash shot at Little Mermaid, but it didn't turn out that great so I didn't take anymore for the rest of the show.

37HoneymoonDay5.jpg

38HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Man! We were so busy we had forgotten all about our fast passes for TSM! They had expired but only by like 5-10 minutes and I knew they would take them anyway, so we made our way back over to play again! This was the first time we had used a fast pass when the line was truly REALLY long. Andy said he felt kind of bad cutting in front of everyone, but I reminded him that they all had an opportunity to get one too and we had waited in line earlier in the day before. While we were waiting to get in our car, Andy pointed out something that I had missed and completely forgotten:

39HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Sigh, this was his ride. No wonder he beat me before and that explains why he whooped my butt the second time! I guess I just have to except defeat.

40HoneymoonDay5.jpg

That's all for today! More to come, and hopefully I'll post it soon! I need to get this report finished!

Great update, loving all the pics. That Oscar pic is pretty cool, whereabouts are they?

Really enjoying your report. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for reading! :goodvibes

Great update, loving all the pics. That Oscar pic is pretty cool, whereabouts are they?

If you go to Magic of Disney Animation studio, there are two entrances. The first takes you through the movie, then you can go to the area where you can meet the characters and do other activities. As you are leaving the second area, they have artwork and stuff everywhere and this was in the middle of one of those areas. To skip the movie go through the second "entrance" which is actually the exit from the gift shop and you will run into the Oscars right at the start I believe. Hope that explains it, I don't remember it very well.

Thanx :) Will make a note of that in my notebook (gonna start a PTR soon).

Day Five (11/13/09) cont.

"You better clean your plate!"

Oh my goodness guys! I feel so bad, it's been such a long time since my last update, and honestly have no excuse. With all the snow we have been getting here in VA, I haven't had to go into work! Ah well, I must finish this trip report! I am determined to get it done, so this is going to be a REALLY LONG update so I can finish our day at Hollywood Studios.

After we finished up with TSMM, we decided to go ahead and make our way over to Lights, Motor, Action (which I knew Andy would just love!) and I took some pictures on the way:

41HoneymoonDay5.jpg

42HoneymoonDay5.jpg

43HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Now the reason we took the pictures of the Brawny Logos, is Andy and I thought it was absolutely hilarious that a Car stunt show full of explosions is sponsored by paper towels. Apparently, they are that strong that they can even clean up that kind of mess!!

After the show was over, I saw Lightining McQueen and Mater and immediately wanted a picture! Andy wasn't interested so I let him relax on a bench while I ran and got in line.

107HoneymoonDay5.jpg

109HoneymoonDay5.jpg

We had to say hello to the Muppets so we made our way into the theater to check our their show. Andy has decided that if he could work at WDW he would want to play Sweetums when he comes out into the Audience to look for Bean the Bunny.

51HoneymoonDay5.jpg

52HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Andy thought this was funny so he made me take a picture.

By a stroke of luck I managed to see Mike and Sully out of the corner of my eye and started freaking out! I kept tugging on Andy's arm and saying "Kitty!" In true form, as soon as we got into line, they had to take a break but I wasn't going to miss my favorite monsters.

It was getting close to dinner time, but we had done everything we could do in the park and still needed to kill sometime. I decided we could head over to One Man's Dream and look around for a little while. At the time, Disney's new movie A Christmas Carol had either just come out or was coming out so I snapper a photo inside the X-mas card!

Yay! I was so excited about this movie coming out! If you still haven't seen it, please do! It was so good:goodvibes

And now I leave you with a bunch of photo's from One Man's Dream:

We were enjoying looking around so much, we lost track of time! It was about 10 minutes before our reservation, so we had to run back to the 50's Prime Time Diner! I managed to snatch a photo of the Sorcerer's hat though.

Once we arrived for our ADR, it was completely packed! Even though we got there just in time, we still had to wait in the TV room for a little while Mom got the kitchen ready for dinner. Once we finally did get seated, we met our babysitter Stacy! We had a lot of fun with her, she of course reminded us to keep our elbows off the table, to eat all our veggies and to clean our plates! She got a real kick out of our wedding when we told her it was a 50's theme! I didn't have any wedding pictures yet, but I did show her my wedding dress on my Ipod. She took it from me and proceeded to show it to all my "other" relatives dining in the kitchen with us! It was really funny.

73HoneymoonDay5.jpg

74HoneymoonDay5.jpg

I ended up ordering Mom's Old Fashioned Pot Roast. Oh my goodness, this meal was to die for. I enjoyed every last bite!
75HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Andy got the Grilled Boneless Pork Loin and he loved his just as much as I did:
76HoneymoonDay5.jpg

Even though I was so full from the meal, I was determined to finish every last bite to make Stacy proud! She said she was going to hang my plate on the wall:
77HoneymoonDay5.jpg

We were too full for dessert but since it came with our Dining Plan, I got a cupcake and Smore's to go! We were calling it an early night at Hollywood Studios anyway, and I wanted to swing by the Osbourne Light's before we made our way back to the buses. Here is a video that captures a glimpse of the light show! If we weren't so tired, we would have stayed to watch the whole thing from the beginning again, but we had plans back at the resort as well.

Here is a glimpse of the tree on the way out:

Once we got back to POR, we were greeted by this little guy:
80HoneymoonDay5.jpg

After I put on a warmer jacket (Dh's of course), we went back up toward the lobby so that we could enjoy our horse drawn carriage ride around Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter! I must say that this was money well spent. It was so romantic, and calming. We just snuggled up on the carriage and took in the beautiful sites of the resorts. Afterward, our carriage driver took our picture:

I was so sad to go to sleep because the next day was our last full park day, but we were tired and I conked right out! Next report, Animal Kingdom!!!

Wow what a great day at DHS. I love the Mike & Sulley pics and One Man's Dream looks really interested, you have inspired me to try this out when we go this year :)

Great job on the report!

We were at WDW from Nov 11 - Nov 15. We were at Animal Kingdom the same day as you, so I'm eager to see if we're in the background of any of your pictures!

I'm so glad you're back, Taryn! The Osbourne Family's Light display is so awesome - I fell in love with it in Dec 2008 & can't wait to show my family this year. My grandson was 14 mos old the first time he saw it and his face as he was watching all the lights was priceless - now he'll be 3 and it should be even more fun!

You sure did make your waitress proud by cleaning off your plate - great job! and what fun to go on a romantic carriage ride

btw I hope it doesn't snow here again but looks like more is coming Tuesday (I live in Stafford and work in F'burg). Made it to work today but worried about ride home tonight after snow melts - ugh! Be careful if you go out!

It's the second time I've gone to see it and its just really interesting to see Walt's Visions and history. There is also a movie you can watch that unfortunately we couldn't watch because we had to make our ADR. I saw it last time though and it made me teary eyed!

Great job on the report!

Ooo! Maybe you are in one of my pictures! Maybe we were even at rides or events at the same time! Guess we will find out when I finally post them.

Oh my goodness, I am so sick of the snow. The only plus is if we have to close our store I still get paid, but at this point I am so sick of digging myself out, Id rather just go to work :lmao: Be careful too! Hopefully it won't hit us too bad tomorrow.

Day Six (11/14/09)

"In the big blue world!"

Our last park day. :sad1: I was so sad because we were having such an awesome time, I didn't want it to end! Ah well, time to make the best of it. This day I think we didn't get up super early. I wasn't in a hurry to get to the park, since there wasn't as much to do as the other parks.

Once we finally got there, my plan was to catch the first Finding Nemo show, but we still had some time, so I figured if we ran we could get on Dinosaur and then run back over to the theater so we could get some decent seats! On the way we took some pictures of course.

When we finally got to Nemo, we didn't wait too long. I think Andy had decided he wouldn't like it very much since it was a musical but he said he enjoyed it and was impressed by the costumes and sets. I took some pictures without the flash and they turned out alright:

15HoneymoonDay6.jpg

Before we headed out of the Dinoland area I figured we might as well go back and ride Primeval Whirl. I enjoy the ride but there are very few things that bother me and while Andy liked it, it really hurt his back. All the jerking around just did a number on him. I felt bad because I didn't really think about his back until we got off the ride. It was all good though, I gave him some Advil and we continued on! I told Andy I wanted to go see the Maharahjah Jungle Trek with the Tigers!!! So off we went.

I stopped to snap a photo of Everest. I'm not a huge fan of the going backwards, and Andy just had to take one look at the ride to decide there was no way he was getting on it. I was ok with that.

16HoneymoonDay6.jpg

I also stopped for a Mickey Bar! I had realized the whole trip I had not gotten a single one, so it was time to fix that! I had to scarf it down though because they don't let you into the Trek with open food.

17HoneymoonDay6.jpg

Ok I have lots of pictures from the Maharahjah Jungle Trek so I'm putting them in the next post. Enjoy!
