Targets $50 Disney gift cards back in stock

They had the $100 cards yesterday. I was able to get a target card at a 7% discount on Raise and then kept watching Target and they came in around 2 pm and sold out in 15 minutes. I got $200 worth. This covers the last of my trip expenses.

My Target has always had them. They recently added the $100 ones too (probably just for the holidays). They USED to also have $25 ones but they stopped those….

We are talking about them having the Disney Gift cards online. If you buy them online you can use discounted Target Gift cards from raise.com plus you get your Red Card discount on the entire purchase so even if you only spend a dollar on the red card and a thousand using gift cards you get the 5% off the whole amount. You cannot get that in the stores

How odd. I purchased two on two different days right after Christmas. It never occurred to me that they go out of stock so suddenly! I'm glad to know this--I'll be sure to buy what I need whenever I see them.

Just to confirm, the raise.com site states that gift cards purchased cannot be used to purchase other gift cards but you actually can buy Target to convert to Disney. Correct?

Yes, they are not considered gift cards they are entertainment cards. You download them to the target app wallet and buy online. Just make sure your Red Card is also listed but the primary payment is gift cards. You can use up to 4 or go to the store and they will combine them and then use online.

I don't have a red card, so I don't normally work the Target angle like so many others to get Disney gift cards. But, yes, you can definitely use a Target gift card to buy a Disney card. I won a $100 Target card at my work holiday party. I just hopped on their website & ordered a Disney card instead, using the Target card to pay for it.

When I go to target online, it shows the Disney Gift Cards as only available in stores.

watch throughout the day, they come back periodically and then immediately sell out. I was watching the other day and $100 cards became available for about a half hour

If I buy a disney gift card in store, there is no red card discount, correct?

If you pay with the red card you would get the 5% off.

I thought they stopped allowing a red card discount when purchasing Disney gift cards in the store.

OK. Thanks. I'll keep an eye out. Does anyone else remember a poster (think it may have been crisi) saying that the online 5% discount on entertainment cards was going to be eliminated with the next Target website update?

Yes I saw that posting. however, I think it was the stacking they are getting rid of for sure (using discounted gift cards to buy gift card with 5% off).

Hopefully it's a rumour but doesn't hurt to stock up.

Thanks again for the advice. I happened to check a few minutes ago and the $100 cards were available online. It gave me the 5% redcard discount when I went to check out. :)

So if I don't want to bother with figuring out the Raise thing and need to buy a couple of park hoppers I can buy 8 $100 Disney gift cards from Target site and get my 5% red card discount? Then how do I use the multiple gift cards to buy the passes? Sorry - never have done it this way.

It worked for me.

Target online lets you buy up to three $100 cards per order. You can do multiple orders if you want more than $300. If you pay with your Red Card, they will give you the 5% discount off the Disney cards. They will send you a confirming email and you will get your Disney cards in the mail. Takes about a week.

Lately, you have to be a bit lucky to find Disney gift cards available on the Target shopping website. I do not think Target intends to let the 5% discount apply to the Disney gift cards indefinitely. Rumor has it that this particular discount will be going away the next time Target updates their website.

You can use www.disneygiftcard.com to combine multiple Disney gift cards into one larger denomination. That is actually quite easy. You can have up to $1000 per card. Then you can use the card(s) to pay your dues or to buy tickets or dining plans - pretty much anything Disney. I think Member Accounting will take up to 5 total cards, but that number would include credit cards and Disney Visa Rewards card as well as gift cards. Not sure how many forms of payment ticketing will take at one time.

Very helpful - thanks!

Thanks for letting me know they were available again. I just figured out yesterday how I can use my HumanaVitality Bucks to buy Target e-gift cards and then use them to buy the Disney gift cards at a 5% discount. I was able to buy $250 worth of Disney gift cards and was out only $37.50! Your heads-up helped me snag them. Thanks!

$100 cards are available on the Target site today - just bought 9 of them with my red card 5% discount for park pass purchase next week. Thanks CarolMN for the process!
