I don't have a red card, so I don't normally work the Target angle like so many others to get Disney gift cards. But, yes, you can definitely use a Target gift card to buy a Disney card. I won a $100 Target card at my work holiday party. I just hopped on their website & ordered a Disney card instead, using the Target card to pay for it.Just to confirm, the raise.com site states that gift cards purchased cannot be used to purchase other gift cards but you actually can buy Target to convert to Disney. Correct?
If I buy a disney gift card in store, there is no red card discount, correct?
Yes, they are not considered gift cards they are entertainment cards. You download them to the target app wallet and buy online. Just make sure your Red Card is also listed but the primary payment is gift cards. You can use up to 4 or go to the store and they will combine them and then use online.
watch throughout the day, they come back periodically and then immediately sell out. I was watching the other day and $100 cards became available for about a half hourWhen I go to target online, it shows the Disney Gift Cards as only available in stores.

If you pay with the red card you would get the 5% off.

Does anyone else remember a poster (think it may have been crisi) saying that the online 5% discount on entertainment cards was going to be eliminated with the next Target website update?

So if I don't want to bother with figuring out the Raise thing and need to buy a couple of park hoppers I can buy 8 $100 Disney gift cards from Target site and get my 5% red card discount? Then how do I use the multiple gift cards to buy the passes? Sorry - never have done it this way.
It worked for me.
Target online lets you buy up to three $100 cards per order. You can do multiple orders if you want more than $300. If you pay with your Red Card, they will give you the 5% discount off the Disney cards. They will send you a confirming email and you will get your Disney cards in the mail. Takes about a week.
Lately, you have to be a bit lucky to find Disney gift cards available on the Target shopping website. I do not think Target intends to let the 5% discount apply to the Disney gift cards indefinitely. Rumor has it that this particular discount will be going away the next time Target updates their website.
You can use www.disneygiftcard.com to combine multiple Disney gift cards into one larger denomination. That is actually quite easy. You can have up to $1000 per card. Then you can use the card(s) to pay your dues or to buy tickets or dining plans - pretty much anything Disney. I think Member Accounting will take up to 5 total cards, but that number would include credit cards and Disney Visa Rewards card as well as gift cards. Not sure how many forms of payment ticketing will take at one time.
Thanks for letting me know they were available again. I just figured out yesterday how I can use my HumanaVitality Bucks to buy Target e-gift cards and then use them to buy the Disney gift cards at a 5% discount. I was able to buy $250 worth of Disney gift cards and was out only $37.50! Your heads-up helped me snag them. Thanks! Thanks again for the advice. I happened to check a few minutes ago and the $100 cards were available online. It gave me the 5% redcard discount when I went to check out.![]()
