Target toy clearance

Went to 2 Target's this weekend. Different prices and items at each. Most things will go into the "gift closet" for when DS has to go to a party (he's only 3 so most items are for the 4-5 range)
First one I got:
Star Wars 3 in 1 make your own saber or gun (can't remember what it was) for 75% off
My (or Our?) Genation doll stuff that was 50% off (both of those are for gifts).
Strawberry Shortcake & Polly Pocket stuff 50% off

Second one I got:
V.Smile Plus 75% off (I got some games as well).
Tinkerbell house with Terrence (50% off)
Air Hogs thing that flies (75% off)
Star Wars R2D2 w/remote (75% off)
Chuck the Truck Racer thing (3 tracks, the cars race off) (50% off)
Thomas the Train Bubble Machine (50% off)

There are several Targets within 20 minutes of me and they each have different Thursdays in which they markdown their toys. Ours here in Hartland usually starts their big summer toy clearance the 1st week of August. So far tons of 30% off. But that's about it for now.

I was looking for Lego sets...found them at 30% and a few at 50%. I bought them right away as I dont think they would last until another markdown cycle.

Just checking in to see if anyone has heard anything about the toys going 75% off this Thursday?

Store mark downs are done independently of other stores. That is, just because one store marks an item down to 75% off, it does not mean that ALL stores will have that item marked at 75% off. It's all done based upon sales. I work at one Target store but often shop at another. I typically find better deals at the other store - probably because they do no business. My store currently has 3-5 aisles of toy clearance, with most of it being marked at 30%. When I worked on Sunday, we had 4 feet (one shelve width) of items at 75% off.

Went to Target at 8:45 this morning for groceries, and to scope out the toys. Found they were in the process of marking all toys 75% off! So I came home with toys instead of groceries!

Tried another store in the area, and they were still 30% off, and only starting to move the toys to make a clearance aisle.

Just a heads up, in case anyone wanted to check their store today!

target still has alot of toys on clearance..it caught me by surprise and was only able to buy a handful of toys for christmas :( ...I wish I would've paid more attention...but now that I've started my shopping I will be on this board more often.

interesting...I will stop by tomorrow after work ...muhahahahaahaa...hopefully I can buy a few more things for cheap cheap cheap

I was at my Target this morning and they had set up 3 aisles of clearance toys, but they were all still 30-50% off. There were also a lot of clearance within the other aisles. Nobody was marking down when I was there; planning to stop by again tomorrow morning just in case!

Has anyone been out this AM to check if the 75% sale is on? Last year, I got all the toy shopping done and my DD came to my house to shop for her kids! Crossing my fingers.

At least two Memphis area stores were marking toys down to 75% off this morning - good deals out there!!

I went to 2 stores in VA today and one had moved all their toys to clearance aisles with the 75% off. Another one just left the toys in their original aisles and had marked them to 75% off, but did not post any signs. The clearance stickers on the boxes had the correct prices on them though. I didn't notice a ton of toys on clearance like in past years, but I did get a few princess toys, especially Tiana stuff for $5 a piece.

Went to Target this am. They were changing the toy sections. I knew from Totally target.com that the KC area were marking the toys down to 75%. ( all the toys were marked 30% and scanned 30% off). I asked the worker to scan items. They scanned up 75%. I am glad they were finally marked down, now I don't need to go everyday. :hippie:

My Target in Mass was 75% off this morning and they were putting out tons of new toys. I got the convertible Agent P/Perry the Platypus for $3.74! Originally $14.99 ($18 at TRUS!)

My boys were thrilled as they have been eyeing that Perry all summer.

Went to the one near by work today and the signs still said 30%, but almost everything was marked 75%. I got a cart full (spent way too much), but I'm set for birthdays for the rest of this year, plus Christmas. There didn't seem to be much for the "older" kids this year (7+), it seemd to be mainly smaller kid items. Anything we have leftover at the end of the year goes to Toys for Tots right before Christmas. Then I buy more when they do the clearance in Jan/Feb.

Oh man...which Target was it? My DS would have LOVED that. He goes around the house saying, "Where's Perry?" But I didn't see that. I did see a lot of other things for 75% off though. Still managed to spend $118. I got the following:

Moon Sand kits $4
Disney easy bake oven type thing $5
Disney oven refills $1.50
H20 Barbie Doll $2.40
Barbie store all container with wheels $5 (this is my fav as I have been wanting this for my DD for a LOONNGG time but coudln't justify $20)
Toy Story Bubble kit $4
Transformer play set $10
Flashlight from Handy Manny $4
Disney diehard car $1.74
VSmile games $5 each (got 4 of them)
Yo YO Gabba keyboard/guitar $6
Tinkerbell musical lantern flashlight $4

Not sure if I should thank you all or not??? :lmao:

My Target was 75% off this morning. I spent $125! Yikes--but my birthday gift closet is stocked & I got Christmas presents for my 3 nephews and a few gifts for my own kids.
