Does it happen right after Christmas or some time in January?
I did really well at the clearance (75% off) back in July and I remember reading that they did it again in Jan? Just don't want to miss it!;) Thanks!

It usually happens in January. I have a receipt from last year's sale dated January 15th. It always happens before my DD's birthday which is January 19th. Hopefully it's the same this year :goodvibes

I think it starts right after Christmas and peaks around the 10th or so of January!! They also do it in July/August. They used to do great diaper clearance but not the last year or so. I was hoping to stock on diapers but haven't had luck lately.

A few of DS's presents for this Christmas were bought in January of last year!

I'm thinking mid-late January. We have several rows of 30% off at our store already!!

It also depends on the store. Stores with a high volume of product or customer base will usually hold out unless corporate tells them to mark down. Other stores will mark down early to move product out. For example, last January we went to three different Targets in a weekend. One store was down to 50% off, so we bought what we wanted and went to another store. It ws only 30%. We went to the third the next day, and it had some toys at 30% and some at 50%. The next week, I heard on these boards that toys were down to 75%. We went back, and only one of those stores had it at 75%. The other two were still at 50%. And by the time they went down to 75%, they hardly had anything good left.

I hope to hit it right this year- DD's birthday is in March.

I love these sales! Stock up for the entire year (then go again in July for people I forgot in Jan. lol) They do the baby clearance in Jan/July as well. I got a double stroller 75% off last year (paid $42) and love it. Also stocked up on diapers at 30% off and used some Target & Mfr coupons pretty cheap (I was afraid I'd miss them if I waited til they went lower).

Our Target has toys anywhere between 30-50% off now. I grabbed a few things at 50% off today, but most were 30%. I did get some Smart Cycle games at 30% - if they go lower, I'll re-buy and return with the higher receipt.

I have found if I drive to a rural store about 30 minutes away, I get a ton more than if I go to my local store that's in town.

I just talked to my husband, who works at Target. He said Christmas went 75% off today (even though it wasn't supposed to). Candy is at 50% and decor/stocking stuffers/holiday toys/etc (from the seasonal dept.) were all at 75% off. Maybe just at his store, but it's worth a shot to check fr anyone that's been waiting for this.

Our store is still 50% off Chrismas.

I also zipped through our baby department and snagged a box of Pampers. They're only 15% off right now, but I had a $2 off mgr coupon and another Target coupon that were expiring 12/31, so I wanted to go ahead and use them. They only had a few boxes and not each size.

Christmas was 50% (and there were a ton of people shopping, so I wouldn't expect it to last to 75%). The toys were still at 30% (not many people in the toys aisles) and diapers were just 15% off.
This was at the Smithfield, RI store.

Toys are marked down on either Wednesday or Thursday each week. There is no point checking the toys every day. You just need to check on Wednesday or Thursday. Based on previous years, the toys should hit 75% on January 13 or 14 depending on your store's mark down schedule.

The Toys usually go 75% mid January. One year (last year?) they went early and I was lucky to be there (I worked down the street from Target and would stop in at 8AM on Wednesday knowing that was mark down day!)

The Xmas stuff is now at 75% and I picked up lots of stocking stuffers tonight. Pokemon cards, bakugan puzzles, play dough, club penguin dolls, hot wheels etc. I would check the non-sale shelves carefully, the play dough was in with the regular stock but I got two of the candy cane shaped packages for $.99 and one christmas kit for $1.49. And the Holiday Transfomers three packs were on the shelf with the regular Transformers.

Lots of 50% off in Illinois today. I didn't need anything, just browsed through real quick.

One Target here was 30%, the other was marked 30% on all the signs but about 1/2 the merchandise was actually at 50%. Now hopefully I can catch them when they first hit 75% off! :thumbsup2

Will Target give a price difference refund on clearance toys if they are marked down within 7 days or whatever? Or is that only if things are on sale like in the ad? Thanks!
