Target Savings Thread

Are people just printing out the target coupons from their website, or is there another source for them? I much prefer to shop at Meijer or even at Kroger with their sale flyer and double coupons. I never thought there was much savings at Target....enlighten me oh Target bargain shoppers!!!

We don't have a Meijer or Kroger, so it's either Target, the expensive grocery store or Walmart (which I dislike).

Too funny! My Easy Mac came tumbling out of the pantry at me last night and all he could do was shake his head and say "I sure am glad we have three months worth of mac-n-cheese in there". I am still trying to convince him that not only am I saving money but I am having fun seeing how much I can buy for the least amount of money. I could take up a really expensive hobby or I can continue couponing and stockpileing.

Hope you were ok! :goodvibes I know what you mean. My other "hobbies" are photography and scrapbooking - neither of which is cheap! He's thankfully that this is the hobby I devote the most money to on a regular basis for sure. Even his friends are getting into now - one of his co-workers (good friends of ours) are coming over Friday night to "shop" from the pantry so they'll have food for the NASCAR race they're going to on Saturday for the weekend. I told them I'll only charge them half price of what they'd pay in the store - unless they have coupons that is! :rotfl2:

I do the majority of my shopping at Kroger (I use the site southernsavers.com to help me match up the sales with coupons) and my Kroger will only take "real" coupons - nothing printed out. Target's pretty flexable and thankfully I haven't had a problem there (yet) with any of my coupons that I've printed out. It's also a bit easier with the Target coupons because it's for a longer period of time than a "normal sale" at a grocery store which is helpful to me. I can't always run to the store every day but I can always manage to find a reason to head to Target! :goodvibes

I have a question about the Bliss candy coupons. What are you guys buying with them as cheaply as possible? I know I've read about them but couldn't recall. I have a candy dish at work for the guys and it's empty so I'd like to use the coupons and get something as cheaply as I can. It's amazing how quickly the firefighters smell the chocolate and swam my desk! :goodvibes

My Target told me tonight, after I was at the register and had all of my items rung up and handed over my coupons, that they will only take 1 coupon item per transaction. This means that if you have 3 target coupons for .50 off 3 pringles, you can only buy 1 can of pringles with 1 coupon in a transaction. I had the cashier back of the 3 duplicate items I had and then went to clarify with customer service. He said they have too many people using multiple coupons for items at once and clearing the shelves of those items. I get that, but I was only trying to buy 2 things of orange juice, 2 cans of pringles and 2 packs of sponges. Really?! Then to top it off I double checked my receipt after I left and she totally didn't ring in 2 target coupons and cost me $1.50. My husband went back and explained what happened and customer service apologized and gave him 2 $3 Target convenience coupons to use to apologize. That made up for all the trouble, but I just don't get why the Targets all have different policies all of a sudden??!!!

This is clearly stated on each target coupon.

I always thought that was the case. In your example, one coupon for .50 off 3 cans of Pringles..........you would buy 3 cans of Pringles and get .50 off. Now, if you have three coupons for .50 off 1 can of Pringle, then you could get 3 cans of Pringles and get 1.50 off.

I think the poster is saying she had 3 $.50/1 and was only able to use 1 of them even though she bought 3 cans. but the target coups say limit 1 per transaction (not purchase, as most coups fo)

The coupon does say per transaction. I would say if that is how your Target wants to be, I would just have them ring up each item as a separate transaction. It doesn't say limit 1 per visit or 1 per customer.

Also, a few weeks ago my weekly coupons in the paper had Target coupons in them. Those coupons do not say 1 per transaction and they were the same as what is on their website. Does that make any sense? Not to me, but I don't think they know what they want their policy to be.

It would take a lot more effort to get multiples of these than multiples of the printables. I expect that's their logic. Still silly

I get that, however, my target and obviously everyone else's hasn't enforced that rule before (clearly by other people's posts of what they purchased from target!). I just want the rules to be the same every day at every store so there is no wondering!

So my Target finally marked down those Leapster 2/Star Wars bundles for 75% off, orig $79.99 down to $19.98!!! Yay! I also printed out the $4 off any Leapster 2 game from the Leapfrog website (I think there is a max of 2) and bought two bundles for only $16! So happy I waited!

I'm just making a quickie post because I'm headed out to my other Target to scope them out! :rotfl:

Ugh! I bought mine at 50% off. I'm going to Target this afternoon in the hopes that they're 75% off here

I was there last week and was able to use my target coupon and the manufactor coupon for my item. I didnt buy more than one of each thing though... Now this morning I tried to do the same at publix since they had bogo and they refused to take my supertarget coupons but took my albertsons. Im told its because target isnt a grocery store..:confused3 hum.. I wonder where I have been shopping all these years for my groceries..

My first bad experience at target today. I had to run and get some stuff for the baby. So I got some quaker snacks and 2 bliss bars. the cashier would not take the coupons so I told her to get the manager becaus eI have done them before. She did. The MANAGER said I had to get what was on the picture. I told her no I didnt. If she read the fine print it said any quaker snack/bliss candy. There was no size limit. I told her I have done these coupons before and THEY are the ONLY ones to ever question them or say no... The manager said she is sorry but they can and will only be used for te items on the piture AND WALKED AWAY!

Last night I made a quick target run because my coupons were about to expire.
I got -
2 Miracle Whip on sale $1.99- $1/2 tq + 2 $1/1 mq. = .50 ea.
5 Bliss bars, $1/1 tq. -no overage this time.
Cottonelle TP on clearance $4.05 - $1 tq + $1mq = 2.05
Nestle 8pk small candy bars $1.29- $1 tq = .29
Little Kitty Bandaids $.99 - $1 tq - no overage

But I wasn't sure how this one worked... Maybe just luck. :thumbsup2 I had 5 Target coupons for .50 off Pringles and I was waiting for the smaller cans that are usually .75. Well, last night I finally asked the guy if they would ever be in and he said not till next week. I said, Oh great, I have a coupon. He said he had other Pringles in the back that he just marked clearance and the coupon would work, so he went and got them. It was a box with 6 single pringles cups, 8 pks Pringles Sticks, and 6 bags of Pringles mini chips. Marked at $5.28. I went to check out and the cashier said I could use all 5 of my coupons because there was more than 5 in the box. So I got $2.50 off the box.

Ya never know what is oay until you ask!:confused3

Amoung other stuff I needed, when totaled, the register said $50.46 and DH knew I only brough in $30 cash, he said uh oh. I said don't worry, I have coupons! Then I handed him the cash and went to get an icee with the kids. He came over and was beaming... "Honey, you know what? It only came to $18. !! I guess I don't hate Target after all!" :woohoo:

My aunt in FL called to talk to me about that toy, and I gave her the go-ahead to buy one for my son's birthday.

Can someone tell me more about them? What are they? What will DS be getting?

Pretty excited. I went to Target today and checked for the juice boxes that are marked down. I got some grape ones last week or the week before. Minute maid 10 pack it says "2 more free" on the front. They were only $.48. So even though I got the last ones that day, I checked again today and they had three more packs in apple. The price had gone up to $.69 a pack. But I was excited! People on a Full Cup have been finding this deal for months. So I was shocked to even find it at my store!

Oh and I was so frustrated at myself. I did the Bertolli deal where you buy 4 get the $5 GC. So the cashier hands me the GC and when it's time to pay.....I didn't use the GC! Then I went and bought DD an Icee and again didn't use it! What is wrong with me? As soon as I left I realized it. And my target is kind of out of the way and I don't go that often. And I'm notorious for carrying around GC for a long time! How dumb!

Way to go!!!! I finally found some at the Target nearest me...I have 4 that I frequent nearby and so far I've only been able to find them once. But I look every time :)

If it makes you feel better unless you did separate transactions you weren't supposed to use the gift card to pay. And if you had used it on the Icee you would have some left anyways :)

I think it will become an addiction for me to constantly check. I hope my kids will drink them. They go through phases and right now they are all about lemonade not apple juice!

Thanks. I didn't know I couldn't use it on that transaction. And I suppose having less than $5 on it after I used it for the Icee I would've really forgotten to use it!:scared:
