Target Savings Thread

Got a few good deals yesterday!

Including:

$0.03 overage on Arm and Hammer Toothpaste with Manu. Coupon
$0.03 overage on Aquafresh Toothpaste with Manu. Coupon
$0.03 overage on Suave deodorant with Manu. Coupon
$0.03 overage on J+J mini first aid kit with Manu. Coupon
$0.53 overage on Axe body wash sample with Manu. Coupon

$1.39 for a 3-pack of Bic Soleil Razors (4 blade, could have gotten the 4-pack of 3 blade razors but I have sensitive skin)
$0.99 for Crest 8 oz. toothpaste after manu. coupon and target sale
$1.49 Reynolds Recycled Aluminum foil after Target sale and manu. coupon

As usual I ended up buying more than I anticipated and spent $28.00 overall, but that's pretty good considering the bill would have been $68 without the coupons/sales.

hmmm call me stupid but i still have no clue what you are talking about ...lol
:goodvibes
They are coupon dispensers that you find throughout the store. They are usually red and are attached to the shelf and have a little blinking light. They are placed near the item the coupon is for. Because of the blinking light, people call the dispensers/coupons blinkies. Hope that helps!:thumbsup2

The "front end manager" at my Target didn't consider Target brand dishwashing liquid a cleaning product???? :confused3 I said well then what is it? She just pointed to the coupon and said that it had to be floor cleaner cause that is what was pictured in the coupon? I said whatever then take the item off. :headache: Where do they find these people?

They make the same argument for soap. My reply - well what do you use soap for? Their answer - ummm cleaning. :headache:

I had a great score. I got a $5 gift card for buying two boxes of playtex tampons clearanced to 3.64 each with a $1 coupon.

My husband just opened the pantry and started fussing about the 6 containers of Kraft Mayo that are in there along with all the Easy Mac, Wheat Thins, Triscuits, Apple Sauce, Fiber One, Nabisco snacks and Ritz. :lmao: I said " you obviously don't understand stockpilling". He said he would rather stockpile money. Some people just don't get it.:confused3

My DH freaked when he came home and went to put his coat in the closet and it was full of cereal, crackers, snacks and mayo cause I ran out of room in the pantry! :lmao: I told him he goes to work, I stock pile food!:surfweb::rotfl2:

Tell him that when you are spending so little on the stuff that he can stockpile more money with your savings!

I am not much of a stockpiler either but I do like saving money. I just know that my mom got too carried away with it and I don't want to have expired things hanging around my cupboads. I know I don't buy mayo or other condiments more than maybe once or twice a year so to have a lot doesn't work for us. Things like that.

I was talking to my dad yesterday and told him I was sending the coupon links to my mom for her to do all the deals also. I was explaining how much I save and that I buy ahead. Some things I don't really need right now, but I use it so I go ahead and buy it to save the money. His response was your not really saving if you are spending money on things you don't need. I pointed out that if I am going to buy it in a month or so anyway, why not get it while it is a good deal. If I can get it now for $.94, why wait till I need it and spend $2.94 on it. He said good point....

I haven't really followed this thread, but today at Target I saw this lady with a mega box of coupons all laid out in the cart and when I left the cashier told me she got around $50.00 for .19!!! I just don't have the patience to coupon like that. My best budget tip for Target is to stay away!

:rotfl: My DH is the same way. He always makes a fuss when I open the closet that he's going to have to call my "boyfriends" (I work at the fire station) to save me when my piles fall down on me! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::lmao: So funny and so true!

It's super easy with Target coupons - way easier than "regular" couponing! You should give it a shot!!

I have to agree! I have a hard time doing it at the grocery store, maybe I don't have the patience. I find Target to be very easy and I like shopping there so that helps. I regret all the years I paid full price at Target when clearly I didn't have to.

Too funny! My Easy Mac came tumbling out of the pantry at me last night and all he could do was shake his head and say "I sure am glad we have three months worth of mac-n-cheese in there". I am still trying to convince him that not only am I saving money but I am having fun seeing how much I can buy for the least amount of money. I could take up a really expensive hobby or I can continue couponing and stockpileing.

Are people just printing out the target coupons from their website, or is there another source for them? I much prefer to shop at Meijer or even at Kroger with their sale flyer and double coupons. I never thought there was much savings at Target....enlighten me oh Target bargain shoppers!!!

I totally agree! I use a few coupons at the grocery store, but I find it more stressful to try to match it all up. Plus I don't save all that much to make it worth it to me. But I love to shop at Target and find it almost a calming experience. :upsidedow

Wait until your target said that only ONE coupon allowed per product! This drives me nut and since I stopped using coupons for target. I even asked for a manager and the manager said yeah, one coupon per product, you can buy more, but we only take ONE coupon, and the 2 targets I went to also don't take internet coupons.

The local Target tried that One coupon! policy with me, but I went to guest services and called corporate. Five minutes later, I was getting my items and able to use target+manuf. coupons.
