Target Reward Question

I have a pharmacy 5% off coupon. I also will have $500 in Target giftcards from a work wellness program. Can I use my 5% off and my giftcards to purchase a different giftcard? Specifically either Visa or AmEx? I don't need any more Disney giftcards, but I will need money for the rest of our trip (staying off site).

Basically, is that possible?

Target stopped giving discounts on gift cards with the Pharmacy Rewards coupon about two or three weeks ago. You should, however, still be able to purchase other gift cards with your target gift cards.

The 5% pharmacy rewards should still work on purchasing gift cards. At least it did when I bought it today. And the 5% red card discount still works with any gift cards....

Your pharmacy rewards will no longer work on gift cards

Visa and American Express gift cards cannot be purchased with Target gift cards. All other gift cards can be purchased using Target gift cards.

I did it about a month ago. But I know some things have changed in the last month so But yeah, used to be possible.

I just used $50 of Target GCards to purchase a WDW GCard last weekend.
Cashier took them and ran them through without blinking.
No problem.
So unless it changed since Saturday, it can be done.

I also have purchased a Disney gift card with a Target gift card I earned on ShopKick just last week (since the change on the Pharmacy Rewards).

Take a look at all of the gift cards offered by Target and maybe you can use others (restaurants, etc.). There are some up by our front registers but there is a bigger selection in the electronics/entertainment section in the back.

I believe that CapNipRules has it backwards. You can still use Target GCs to purchase Disney GCs but you cannot use the Pharmacy Rewards 5% discount on them. Target discontinued the ability to use the Pharmacy Rewards discount on GCs about 3 weeks ago.

No, Target discounts of any sort do not apply to prepaid Visa/AmEx cards, or Target's namesake in-store GCs...
