Has anyone had any issues with returning an item that you don't have the packaging for? We gave our son the Toy Story 3 Andy's Gift Pack (only sold at Target) and within 3 days Jesse's foot broke off. My husband already tossed the box so I don't have that.

I would attempt to take it back but if they won't take it back then contact the company who makes it. Also, depending on size, that may be a safety issue in which CPSC would need to be advised. If it is a small part (not sure as my boy is almost 18 so we don't really shop in the boys toys) than it could be a huge choking hazard.

The part that broke off is small enough to cause a choking hazard for a younger child - he is 4 and I know it stated not for children under 3 years so not sure how that would work then.

If they wont take it back you can always rebuy it and return it with that box.

My son just got slinky from TS3 yesterday and his foot also broke. I also threw out the box. I have to go to toys r us tomorrow to see about exchanging it

Good luck! Target is getting so strict on their returns!!

I had the receipt to a shirt that apparently had no tag (I bought three total of the same shirt)...well I took them back today and the one that did not have a tag on it, they would not take it back because the number on the inside tag of the shirt did not match the receipt!!! Looking at the numbers on the tags and receipt, you could clearly see that the cashier had rung up the same shirt TWICE. So even if it had been tagged the numbers would not have matched up...

anyway I did not get my money back for the red shirt and was pretty bummed about that...
