Unfortunately, no. You have to rebuy, and then return. We had to do this last week with the 3ds deal. (previously got one w/25 gc, last week it was a 50 gc) So, in our eyes it was enough money back to justify the hassle.

I would take them and the receipts back and see what they say. My target would just do a return and repurchase with the same units. Doesn't hurt to try.

I purchased mine thru E-Bates @ BestBuy.com I believe its 1% back, the prices for 32bg is 264.99 I chose to pick up in store and with taxes it was $288 =)

I went to Target yesterday w/just my receipt and they did it!! They returned the ipod touches I got, and rebought the ones I got (all via receipt) AND I got 2 $40 GC's back.

YAY!!

I did the same thing except I did return them...and bought different ones. Mine are still packaged as they are gifts for DD and DS for Christmas. Then of course I see that Target is offering another CG deal with a $75 purchase on Fri/Sat! Should have waited a couple of days and I would have gotten another $20 worth of gift cards!

The 2 I purchased are all loaded and in their new cases. I wonder if I should go buy 2 new ones and then return them with the old reciept?

not too sure that would work as when they are sold you have to scan the serial number.

PP is correct as they are listed by serial number on your receipt. You cannot buy new ones and return the old ones as they will not match what is on your receipt. Just try to do what the OP did and see if it works out for you too.

Holy moly, she had me totally going too!!! I was sitting here thinking "where the ?HECK did I put those iPods?! Gotta get me some Huge-Large Target GCs.

Just a head's up but check your prices carefully as the 10% off did not come up correct on the ones we purchased at Target. It actually only took 8% off so now we are having to make another trip to get it corrected.
