Target $10 gc with $50 purchase coupon

My mom and I went to Target today (actually two Targets) The cashiers were hit or miss on whether or not they would let us do two transactions in a row - most would. We were able to use the $10 gift cards to purchase additional WDW GC's.

We received a Catalina coupon after each transaction for $8 off of $80 purchase. We hung around a bit and gave them to people who were coming in or who were at the cash registers already spending over $80! It was fun "handing out cash"!!!

Going to go back tomorrow to get some more- excited to save so much - pays for most of our meals for our trip next month!

Also want to add that there is no need to do 1 card per transaction. If you are buying several, go ahead and buy 4 in 1 transaction, the next transaction you can use all 4 gift cards then pay the balance.

But you can only use one coupon? Or does the one coupon give you a $10 gift card for every $50 you spend?

How do you print from this?
Do you have to download it to your computer first?

You save the PDF to your computer than you can print as many as you want. I did this through Fatwallet.

I used 4 coupons and got 4 $10 target cards in 1 transaction.

I just printed this coupon from the Target website. Can I make photocopies of it, or do they have to have unique bar codes? So, just so I understand my mission, LOL, I have to buy Target gift cards with the coupon, then use the Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards? I'd like to buy a bunch to pay off part of our package reservations. As long as the card says Disney and not Disney Store it should be good for WDW, correct? Where is the best place to find these gift cards in the store? Any other important info I need before I go do this? Sorry to not read through the entire thread for answers..I'm at work...

Photocopying coupons that you have printed from your computer is considered to be coupon fraud, even if the original coupons have the same bar codes instead of unique numbers. Some people don't have a problem doing it anyway since it's pretty easy to get away with it in small amounts. People who attempt to do it with ten or twenty coupons are taking a risk.

There should be no problem in using the Target GCs to purchase Disney GCs. You're correct that they need to be Disney GCs and not Disneystore GCs if you want to use them at Disney World. But I have not seen any Disneystore GCs at Target, so you should be safe. I seen them in the electronics department and at all of the checkout lanes at my Target stores.

You cannot copy the coupon.

1. As was pointed out that would be coupon fraud
2. They've set the image quality so that if you copy it will not scan properly

Assuming you can find enough PC's to print out enough coupons here's the plan..

1 - Buy $50 Disney card and get $10 Target gift card
2 - Buy $50 Disney card and get $10 Target gift card
3 - Buy $50 Disney card and get $10 Target gift card
4 - Buy $50 Disney card and get $10 Target gift card
5 - Buy $50 Disney card and get $10 Target gift card
6 - Buy $50 Disney card and use 5 $10 Target gift cards from above to pay

Alternately if you are lucky enough to get an 8/80 coupon you can either buy more stuff or rinse/lather/repeat until you have $100 in Target gift cards.

the bar codes are not unique (some here have said that photocopying it is coupon fraud - however, I'm not sure how it differs from if you printed 2 of these coupons from every computer at work etc)

The cards at my target are found up by the registers on a display that sell other merchant gc's (like AMC theatres, Ruby Tuesday etc).

Yes, after 5 transactions and receiving 5 $10 Target cards, you can then use these and another coupon to purchase another gift card.

Yes, they are good for WDW and are not the Disney store gc's.

I'm with you on that one however the rules set forth by Target seem to be clear.

- 1 coupon per customer and transaction
- coupon cannot be scanned, copied or transferred

With multiple printouts from multiple PC's those rules are being followed.

I used 4 coupons and got 4 $10 target cards in 1 transaction.

But this is very much YMMV

If the cashier is willing to scan the coupon 4 times on one $200 purchase the register will accept it. But not all cashiers are willing to do that.

I printed off 2 coupons and both DD and I were present at the register. I asked to use both coupons on one $100 purchase but said we could do two separate $50 purchases if necessary. The cashier we got said the 2 of us could only use one coupon on one $50 purchase. Yes, I could have pushed the issue and/or asked for a manager since his refusal to let 2 people use 1 coupon each on 2 separate transactions was ridiculous, but I decided it wasn't worth my time and effort. We made one $50 purchase and used one coupon at his register and then just went to a different register to use the other coupon.

Not answering the can I make photocopies question since it seems the issue of coupon fraud has already been addressed (I admit I haven't read the whole thread) but the bar codes are not unique.

Some people were churning Target GiftCards like crazy last year, but they got smart and excluded them this year. The coupon doesn't work on Target GiftCards.

You can generally find 3rd party gift cards both at the registers and near the electronics department at most Target stores.

You can however save the original PDF file to your computer and print all day long. I just used 12 coupons with no problem. Get the pdf file off of Fatwallet.com

Just back from Target. Used 12 coupons. Bought 10 disney gift cards and used 10 target $10 gift cards to buy 2 more disney gift cards. I still have 2 target gift cards left because if you use the coupon on the target gift cards purchase you get another 10 target gift card!! Awesome! So i got $600 of Disney Giftcards for $460. Just awesome. And I just about wiped them out.Oh not to mention the 5% Target red card works on Disney gift cards!

If you used 12 coupons, you got 12 $10 Target Cards. So you actually paid $500 for $620 of Disney ($600) and Target ($20) Gift Cards, and not $460.

Edited in bold to add:

1 - Buy $50 Disney card and get $10 Target gift card

Nope because the gift cards were used to buy 2 more Disney GC AND I got another $10 off each one of those Target gift card purchases so I am adding those back into the equation. My receipts are $192 times 2 plus $96 and add back in the leftover $20 worth of remaining Target Gift Cards comes to $460. Believe me, I have done my math!

Remember you can use the Target Gift Cards you get to purchase additional Disney Gift Cards, which is what I did.

OK, I see. You must have used a Target Credit/Debit card to get an additional 4% off. So instead of spending $500 for $620 in gift cards, you spent $480 for $620 in gift cards.

If you only used 12 $10 off coupons, you could only save $120.

You can also use the coupons on the Target Gift Card purchase of Disney Gift Cards. That's where I got the additional $20 of gift cards, bringing the total to 140.

Yes I used my 5% Red Card to also purchase the Disney Gift cards because they are considered "entertainment" so will work on these Disney Gift Cards.

I went last night and I did 2 transaction since no one was waiting and I got 2 $10.00 GC back and got my 5% off with Target Red card. I than asked the guy if I can do 2 more and he said as long as the computer allow you to do it you can do it. So I bought 2 more 50.00 GC and got 2 more $10.00 Target cards. Going back today to buy 50.00 Gc with the 40.00 in target cards i got.

Awesome savings....
