Target $10 gc with $50 purchase coupon

You can also use the coupons on the Target Gift Card purchase of Disney Gift Cards. That's where I got the additional $20 of gift cards, bringing the total to 140.

The two additional coupons (the 11th and 12th ones you used in buying Disney Gift Cards with the 10 $10 Target Gift cards) brought your total savings from $100 to $120. What brought the total savings to $140 was your bonus discount from using the Target Credit Card.

Yep. So that is cash I can use in Target, it's not on the Disney Gift Cards. So realistically, it's still cash in my pocket, just have to use them at Target. This was an exceptionally sweet deal.

I went last night and I did 2 transaction since no one was waiting and I got 2 $10.00 GC back and got my 5% off with Target Red card. I than asked the guy if I can do 2 more and he said as long as the computer allow you to do it you can do it. So I bought 2 more 50.00 GC and got 2 more $10.00 Target cards. Going back today to buy 50.00 Gc with the 40.00 in target cards i got.

Awesome savings....

Yep. With your Target Visa, the first $50 Disney Gift Card is 4% off (you pay $48), and each subsequent $50 Disney Gift Card is 24% off (you pay $38 plus the $10 gift card you just received), and you walk out with a $10 Target Gift Card at the end.

The Target Cards (either the debit or credit card) get 5% off, not 4%. You pay $47.50 for a $50 GC. It's a small difference but if someone is buying hundreds of dollars worth of GCs, it can be significant.

I finally got a $8 off $80 coupon! I've done about 10 transactions in the last week, not only with the coupon but before that, as well. I've bought lots of gifts, food, household stuff, etc in addition to different gift cards. The one time I get just a $50 Disney card, I get the $8/80 coupon. Who sets that stuff up?? :confused3

Not true.... Mine all came to $48. I don't really know why but they did.

Thanks so much everyone. We only managed to get $200 of Disney gift cards in last week's promotion because we ran out of time to head out to Target.

This week, we picked up another $1400 in Disney gift cards.

Perfect for paying off my upcoming Disney cruise - I have my final payment of another $2K coming up next week. The savings are going to pay off my upgrade from an inside to a verandah cabin :)

Stupid question - do these appear on the bottom of your receipt, or are they a completely different piece of paper that comes out of the register?

I purchased around $1500 in GC last weekend, all separate transactions & I don't think I got a coupon, but I have not looked at individual receipts so if it is printed on the bottom, maybe I did :confused3

Thanks! :cool1:

I'm not sure why you didn't get 5% off. But 5% is the the Red Card discount, not 4%. The bottom of your receipt (just below the subtotal) should read "Your REDCard Savings 5%" and then the discount amount that was applied.

ETA: I just went back and looked at my receipts from yesterday and last week. Even though the receipt says "5%" the actual percentage discount is lower and not consistent from one receipt to the next. I wonder if the $10 bonus GC is what makes the difference? Because if I do the math on my receipts, the one has a subtotal of $65.10 and the "5% discount" was $2.76 (which would be around 4.3%) But if I subtract $10 from the $65.10 to get $55.10, then $2.76 would be a 5% discount.

It's a catalina coupon that comes from a separate printer. It isn't on your register receipt.

Same thing happens to me specifically for this promotion. Most people are reporting that as well, that target "discounts" for the $10 gift card you get, making it worth a $40 "purchase" so that you only get $2 off (instead of $2.50). But you still end up paying $48 for a $50 entertainment card and getting a $10 free Target GiftCard.

Now if you're only getting a $50 entertainment card and not the free $10 Target GiftCard, you do only pay $47.50.

The 5% discount discount program specifies "5% discount applies to eligible purchases minus any other discounts and the value of any promotional Target gift cards received in the transaction."

So you did receive a 5% discount on $40 because they deduct the $10 giftcard in the calculation. :thumbsup2

Is anyone having luck using coupons printed from other sites such as fatwallet.com?
I noticed they print to a different size and am wondering if that affects being able to use them in the store.

Its because they subtract the $10 target gift card you get, before applying the 5% discount from using your red card. So $50 Disney GC minus the $10 target gc you get with the coupon = $40. So the red card discount is only $2. But I would rather get the $10 gift card than the extra .50¢ discount.

Just returned from my local Target. There were not any Disney GC at any of the register so I checked the Electronics Dept and there were none there either :sad2:. I went to the front to check the GC by the registers again and the found the holder for the Disney GC's ($25 and $50) and they were empty.

I went to Guest Services and they checked for me and said there were more in the back and they went to get me some. I asked for $200.00 worth. Once they came up the girl in Guest Services rang them for me. I asked here if I could use the coupon for the $10 Target GC and she said lets try it out. I did ring each separately and paid cash.

They all rang up with no problem :cool1:. Now I am sorry I did not get one more so I could use the 5 $10 Target GC and get another Disney GC. I am planning on purchasing more over the next few days.

We are planning on paying off our Disney crusie for next November.

Thanks to everyone here for all their help.

Linda

Now that you have a $8 off $80, since you can stack the catalina coupon with other coupons, if you find a cashier that will do multiple gift cards in one transaction you can get a really slick deal. $120 (2 $50 Disney gift cards + 2 $10 Target gift cards) in gift cards for $100 - $8 (catalina coupon) - $3.60 (5% RedCard on $72) = $88.40 or ~26% off or ~32% off if you count the Target gift cards as cash :thumbsup2

Great question!

Using the MediaFire link posted here on this thread, the coupons printed tiny when I printed from my phone & normal size from my iPad. Odd. I did not try the fatwallet link.

I have not tried using them yet - still need to figure out how many more Disney GCs I "need" :rotfl2:

(Can you ever have enough when you have an annual pass)?
