Target $10 gc with $50 purchase coupon

Just wanted to check that you can use the Target gift card towards payment of a Disney gift card. The coupon says no and only one coupon per guest per transaction. Is everyone able to buy 4 Disney Gift Cards and get 4 Target Gift Cards and then use the Target Gift Cards to purchase more Disney Gift Cards?

We are doing a Disney Cruise next November and I am trying to save some money.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda I asked the same question earlier here :)
I went to Target during lunch today and used 5 $10 giftcards from last weeks deal to buy 2 Disney $25 gift cards without a problem.

You can also photocopy. I did that last week and had no issues. The barcode is the same in all. Just make sure the quality of the copy is good so the barcode scans well.
That would be coupon fraud, as are the .pdf files that people are sharing. There's a reason why Target doesn't allow you to print more than 2 copies of the coupon from their website. When you do things to get around it, you're committing fraud. It doesn't matter if you can get a cashier to push it through, it is still wrong.

Thanks for the answers. I am going to have to head over to Target. Glad I can use more then one coupon.

I'll post here and let everyone know what happens.

Linda

Thanks to the previous posters for answering my question about whether the coupons are the same. :) I've never done more than a coupon per cashier, so it's been a pain buying multiple cards.

I am sorry but what is the difference between that and using multiple computers to print? You should only use 2 coupons max then.

This is correct if you're dealing with Guest Services at the parks. It is different if you're dealing with DVC Member Services. They (Member Services) can accept up to 2 forms of payment, both of which can be GCs, but they cannot take more than 2. It has to do with the limitations on their software. People are often unaware that DVC and Disney Parks are not one and the same.

Just so I understand before calling...

I am going to purchase the DVC AP $399 special over the phone.

I have a bunch of $50 GC's that I would like to use to pay for the AP. But if I understand correctly, I can only use two $50 GC's ($100 total) and the rest I would have to put on my credit card?

I couldn't use eight/nine $50 GC's ($400-450 total) to pay for the whole DVC AP?

I guess I could just call and find out on my own, but this is more fun!

Thanks,

Evan

I have a $15 gift card with a $150 purchase coupon that target mailed to me if anyone wants it pm me you address and I will put it in the mail in the morning. I am not going to use it.
I don't know if it can be combined with the $10/$50 gift card deal right now or not but I hate to throw it away. It is good until 12/24

Just back from Target. Used 12 coupons. Bought 10 disney gift cards and used 10 target $10 gift cards to buy 2 more disney gift cards. I still have 2 target gift cards left because if you use the coupon on the target gift cards purchase you get another 10 target gift card!! Awesome! So i got $600 of Disney Giftcards for $460. Just awesome. And I just about wiped them out.Oh not to mention the 5% Target red card works on Disney gift cards!

I asked Member Services about this. She told me that their system is set up to only accept 2 forms of payments for APs and PAPs, so you can use 1 gift card or even 2, if it will pay the balance off.

I know this does not help everyone, but I then asked her if I bought my PAP while onsite, can it be charged to the room and she said yes. I would have to buy from Guest Relations at DTD or one of the parks. Then I asked if I had it charged to the room, could I use my gift cards at the resort to pay it off and she said yes. Then told me it was a great idea and she was going to do that herself.

UPDATE: I just read on DVC board that if you purchase at Guest Relations they will not give you a voucher, they give you activated tickets so doesn't help those who want the vouchers to activate later.

Hmmmm. I thought you could purchase a voucher (certificate) according to Cheshire Figment on the DVC PAP thread.

No, you could use one $50 GC and your credit card. That would be 2 forms of payment. If you were to use 2 GCs, that would be 2 forms of payment as far as Member Services is concerned. So they'd better be $225 GCs since you not only would need to pay $399 per PAP, but you would also need to cover the tax.

Did you get a taker?

This is not correct.
They will sell you a voucher(certificate) at Guest Relations.

Thanks for the clarification.

A previous poster from earlier today (post #366) said "I tried to buy the PAP last week with 25 gift cards from DVC and she said she couldn't accept that many. She put me through to another number and they were able to accept all 25 with no problems." I'm hoping this is the case...

I'll call tomorrow and keep everyone posted.

Well thank you to Target!!! I'm done with this promotion and got a pretty hefty savings.

I purchased $3000 worth of cards and paid $2400 in total for them. It paid off our vacation and gave us $600 in cards to use towards dining and souvenirs on our trip.

To the person that said it's coupon fraud. It's only fraud if you're copying them. Printing them out from different computers is within the rules which brings into question the rules as a whole as someone like myself has an advantage over someone that doesn't have access to multiple computers.

I made a few mistakes along the way but all in all it's hard not to be happy with a 20% savings.

Just got back from purchasing 10 cards!
Disappointed that they can't look up your RED card with ID, because I forgot where I placed it for safe keeping, lol:sad2:
Still glad to be able to save money on our upcoming Anniv. trip. Only 27 more cards to go. :thumbsup2
