Tarek and Christina seperate

I like Christina and Tarek more than Chip and JoJo (Chip is over the top annoying and JoJo is that sarcastic or stoic personality that bugs me). I felt like they, Christina and Tarek, were a good couple and was surprised to hear of their separation and the incident with the 911 call. I don't see how they can continue, though, as he likes to go cheap cheap cheap and she has a better idea of what will sell better (spending a little more on upgrades). He always gave in to her but now he may not want to. I can see more push back from him now. I also read they were already with new people (dating)...that was quick.

I had no idea who they were but heard about the split recently on TMZ. All I have to say is she is one damn fine looking woman, sweet Jesus.

Yeah now reporting she is banging the dude who is her witness to his abuse. Convenient.

Tarek "hey I found a house in Yorba Linda. It's a 500k site unseen but comps have sold for 750"

Christina "that's a high asking price" as she flashes her arm dripping in diamonds and perfect manicure and fake lashes

Tarek "ok I bought it. We can probably put $20 into it and sell it"

Enter izzy the contractor "no tarek this is gonna be 180 grand provided we don't find any other problems"

Tarek "oh man"

Christina :eye roll:

Izzy "we found mold."

Tarek"sigh. Ok fix it"

Christina "it needs a pool. And an outside kitchen. And new pavers. And an outdoor claw foot tub"

Tarek " well I hate to say it but if you want top dollar in this neighborhood you gotta do it"

DW is watching House Hunters right now (they're in St.Louis) and they just had a commercial for Flip or Flop. Tarek, Christina, and their two kids are all in their Christmas finery, in their spectacularly decorated house, wishing viewers a happy holiday season. Hmmmm, HGTV maybe should be paying closer attention to their ads.

They were on the cover of one of those supermarket checkout rags too.

Just barely. They divorced in 2000, and by 2001 Chet had moved to another station. NECN, maybe?

If you go for the orange fake-tan glow. And the fake teeth. And the fake boobs. And the fake hair...

When I watch Chip and JoJo, whether is real or not, there appears to be chemistry and affection. I hate to say this, but for Flip or Flop it came off more of a guy who "made it" and his trophy wife.

I like JoJo more than chip- I always said I wish they would make a show with Tarek and Jojo- leave Chip out (he is WAY to silly for me) and leave out Christina who I always thought was a MAJOR Witch

I always liked Tarek and Christina. It is my favorite show on HGTV though I do admit it is horribly formulaic.

I read an article about their split the other day that quoted a source saying that they were really two different types of people. She had champagne taste and he was a beer in a can king of guy which I can totally see on both their parts. I never thought she was really a witch but I think she came across as somewhat spoiled at times.

But they do show all the costs including that for "dressing" the finished property.
It is part of the calculation on display when they work out their profit or loss at the end of the programme.
Don't forget that they are licensed real estate brokers so are not going to be charging themselves.

I will take mine with the mosaic tile border and soapdish insert, please. I'll also be in need of a statement piece or focal wall covered with wood of course. If you don't have the time or budget for reclaimed, a laminate will do. I want my home to look "custom", not "cookie cutter".

TMZ has a video of Tarek & Christina today going into a coffee shop together like buddies chit chatting, then they come out again and she gives him the most awkward hug good-bye. Total set-up for TV ratings to keep the show going and people watching I'm sure. Its the most bizarre video.
