Tanya, I've been lurking on your PJ since I saw your pics on (I think) the pic of the day thread. You are an amazing photographer! I hope you are all getting through the losses and it's great that you're getting into the dance classes. Hang in there I'm sure the at home reception will be beautiful.

Thanks for the compliments. We are doing as well as we can be considering.

I know how my family is - so it's ok. I'm sorry to hear that you are taking prednisone - I was on it for 5 yrs at one point. It can make you feel great, but then there is the whole weight issue with it. They took me off of it b/c I started to develop Cushing's syndrome from taking too much of it. I had the big round face and the hump on my back. So much fun - NOT. I hope that you won't have to be on it for too long. Have fun on your trip - it's coming soon!

Up next was dinner number 2! We went to Palo's without the kids. It was the most amazing food. Sooooo good. I cannot say enough about how yummy it was. However, about halfway through the dinner, we got paged to come pick our kids up. They knew that we were at Palo's eating, and they promised to let us eat, but our kids were just exhausted. The server at Palo's called to try to give us more time to eat, but we kept getting paged.

We did also get to meet the other couple who got married on the ship in the Cadillac lounge. They were sitting at the table next to us and were really nice. But when I asked if she was on the DISboards, she looked at me like I had 3 heads! :rotfl:

We decided to go get our kids, and everyone at Palo's was really nice and boxed up our food to send it up to us in our room. Since we didn't get to finish picking out everything to eat, they sent us like multiple entrees and 3 desserts. Yummy. We gathered the kids and put them to bed and finally got out of our wedding attire - whew! and sat in bed in our jammies eating ourselves sick while watching cartoons. What could be better than that?

Day 3

We were lazy and slept in the next morning since we were so worn out from the day before. This means we missed meeting Captn Jack Sparrow and some of the other characters on the island. But we just wanted to relax and have fun now.

Imran had heard about my dress and came to check on me and the status of the dress. He said that it wasn't acceptable, but that it wasn't too bad. Thankfully the type of material that my dress is made out of didn't absorb the color. Imran said it would be no problem to clean it. They have to keep all the costumes and uniforms clean, and not to worry about it. :cloud9:

Dress turned over, we went to go eat breakfast up on deck 9 out in the sunshine. We all had mickey waffles! They were a big hit with the kids. We then gathered up our stuff and headed down to Castaway Cay.

I was looking forward to mailing postcards from the post office there, but like the rest of our trip - we had a problem. They were closed. Poo.

Oh Yay you are back. What a mess, but I am glad you got your dress cleaned and dinner from Palo in bed sounds PERFECT!!!!!

Christmas decorations were very cool. It was all nautical Disney themed. Plus we had fake snow. We don't ever get to see real snow, so it was great.

I didn't mind dinner in bed at all! I was a little sea sick in Palo's b/c they sat us by a window, and I thought that it was a rotating restaurant. :rotfl: That's how bad the boat was a rockin. It's better for me not to see it.

Plus, I got to eat 3 desserts with this super yummy chocolate sauce! Mmmm...chocolate in bed.

Wow, this makes the water sound so inviting. I think I may skip getting in the ocean on this trip.

Cruise342.jpg

It was super duper windy that day since a storm was on it's way in, so nothing was open.

So after playing around for a while, we went to go chill on the family beach. I don't know if it was due to the fact the nothing else was happening due to the weather or what, but it was really crowded. Me and the kids found a nice spot in the sand and started digging in. We tested the water, but it was too cold for our Florida butts. We don't get in cold water! LOL! But all the Northerners thought it was great. While the kids and I were having fun, Dan the man started freaking out. He hates crowds. Yes, he even complains when we are at Disney. But at that with him being uncomfortable in a bathing suit, and the fact that people are lounging within arms' reach, and he said we had to go! We are so spoiled by our beaches close to where we live.

So we went and watched some hermit crab racing - and loved the Lightening McCrab was the winner - and then grabbed a bite to eat. After that, the kids were pooped, so we headed back to the ship. I love that the trams were decked out like reindeer!

Back on the ship, NO one was there. It was great! We had so much fun playing in the pools and the splash areas. We ran around on the ship and took, well more pictures, lol! and went to see A Christmas Carol. The theater was really nice, and I had never seen a 3D movie before, but I hated the movie. Totally not what I was expecting, and it scared the crap out of Drew.

But we went and thorough enjoyed dinner together. My dress had arrived back in the room, clean and in perfect like new condition!!!! :thumbsup2 Thank you Imran for working your magic. By this point, we had sailed into some ucky weather, and the boat was going crazy! No more fun up on Deck 9.

Dan the man caught me in action - eating cake. It was sooo yummy. We never did finish it all.

I went to guest services to check on a few things, and on a whim, I asked if they had a lost and found. Yes! So I asked if anyone had found a mickey ring and turned it in. I thought that there would be no way in hell. If someone found it, I figured that they would just keep it. So they asked me to describe it to them and I did. And guess what??? It was there! Dan's ring was there! I could not believe this. They said that it is Disney! That's the way Disney people are, and it is so true. So I asked who turned it in, and they said the Captain. He found it 2 doors down from ours when he was leaving our ceremony! Poor Drew. He must have dropped it instantly. I was so excited to find it. It is now Dan's lucky ring. It has been through quite a bit.

After that, we went and watched the most awesome show in the theater. I think it was called Disney Dreams or something like that. We missed the new Toy Story show the night before and the fireworks due to our dinner in Palo. I was kinda bummed about it, but this show made up for it. It was great. Dan complained when I forced him and the kids to go, but he ended up loving it. So did the kids. Kenzie about cried when she saw the princesses come to life on stage. It was so much fun. I tried to secretly snap some pics, but Dan didn't want us to get in trouble and took the camera away.

And then after that, we got to see our favorite characters! There were characters ALL over the boat. The kids wanted to see Donald and Daisy, but we just didn't have time. I HAD to see my mice.

Mickey and Minnie came out while Pluto was still talking to us, and they were sooo cute waiting on him. They kissed and danced. Sooo sweet.

We came back to our cabin to this critter:
Cruise549.jpg

No more fun wedding presents.

Then we packed like mad to try to squish all of our stuff that we got from DFTW into our bags to have it ready in time to go down. I left out one outfit for all of us in the morning. I didn't want to go :( It was nice to have a break from reality.

The weather got completely crazy that last night on the boat. A cold front was coming through and it was wet, cold, and windy. I fell just trying to walk down a hallway! We so did not prepare for cold weather. I didn't bring jackets or nothing.

Then Drew started getting sick that night. I thought that it was mainly sea sick from the weather and the boat lurching around.

By morning, he was pretty sick, but I didn't realize the severity of it yet. As we were going to leave to go to breakfast, he had an accident in his only pair of pants!!!! I tried to wash them out in the sink and then dry them with a hair dryer, but there was no salvaging them. It was freezing outside and Drew had no spare clothes. We tried to convince him to wear an extra long t-shirt, but he was really embarrassed and wouldn't leave the room.

By this point, we were late for breakfast. I tried to run down to the gift shops to see if I could get him anything. They were closed! Luckily, one of the ladies working asked me what I was looking for and I told her our situation. She was really nice and went and got the store's manager. He felt sorry for us, so he opened the store just for me (which means a ton of paperwork for him) and let me get whatever I needed. I picked out a pair of sweatpants and paid for them and ran back to our room. I was very grateful that Disney people are so nice. I don't know what we would have done without them!

They also let us eat breakfast with a different seating due to the fact that we were so late. After that, it was time to get off the boat and go through customs.

We were greeted with this sign as we stepped off Mickey's boat:

I hope to see you real soon too Mickey!
