Tanya & Dan's VR DCL!!!Dec 4, 2009 MK & Epcot Photoshoot Pics Posted

I got it b/c our trial run with the Wilton castle cake was a mess. That thing is more trouble than it is worth. Plus we would have to transport it about 40 minutes away. It won't make it!:upsidedow We even reinforced it, but it is a disaster waiting to happen.

:rotfl: SEE!! I told you that one was worthless! ugh....! I know Betsy had Publix remake her DCL cake for their anniversary this year....i think it looked better than when DCL made it!! You should be good to go with them!

WOW those candles are BEAUTIFUL!! love them!

So are you doing WDW after the cruise? Will we be there at the same time?

love, love, love those candles!!!! oh and the ring...i know....im asking for a white gold ring for our tenth this year..dont need it, but i do want it...so we'll see....

You did warn me! LOL!
Our publix in Port Charlotte, (the next town over - we don't have one in Arcadia) makes awesome cakes. I have to go talk to them and see what they will be able to do. They have a lot of designs that are gorgeous, and I can go with any of them, but I want to see how Disney they can make it.

We'll probably come home for a day b/c we'll have to board 3 dogs or get a pet sitter. I am really nervous about being away from them. BUT - some of Dan's relatives from TX will be there, and I want to go see them. So we'll probably make it some time that week. We'll have to figure out a day and see if we can meet up!

I finished our tote bags today. Here's what they look like:
Snake013.jpg

I'm really proud of them and they only cost me about $6!

I also bought some jewelry a few weeks back. I got it from Jewelryland.com
Awesome site. They sell mainly Disney jewelry for pretty cheap. I got me and Mackenzie matching Tinkerbell necklaces as a mother and daughter thing.

Then for Mackenzie to wear for the VR, I got her a little mickey necklace. The matching mickey earrings were free since I spend over a certain amount of money! So that is her jewelry for the ship.

As well organized (not) as I am, in the chaos of family staying here, moving our studio, and the accident, I have no idea what I did with my STD's. I ordered magnents from Vista print, and they turned out really cute.

But with everything going on, I put them away somewhere. It's not with all my vow renewal stuff!!! I went to make envelopes for them last night, and I had to tear apart the house looking for them. I never did find them either. At least they came from Vista print and they were cheap, but I think that I am going to have to order more!!

Knowing my luck, I'll probably find them after I order more.

Hi! I'm just catching up on your PJ! Your kids are SO cute, and you are so crafty! I hope you don't mind but I might take a few of your ideas- love the magnets and the monogrammed mickeys:)

I hear you on the finances- we have so many medical bills coming in this summer from my kids pneumonias, its likely to impact our plans as well... don't know yet as it's all not in yet... but you seem to be doing a great job of finding things at such good deals! And about your photos- it sounds to me like you really want those MK photos, and won't be happy with the ship photos- I'd just do that and save the money for what you really want.

Looking forward to seeing what other plans you come up with! :goodvibes

Thanks for checking in! Steal away on any ideas. That's what they are here for. Most of them I steal from other brides. And I am only crafty out of necessity. I have champagne tastes on a beer budget.

A few minor updates:
I did find my smaller business sized STD magnets, but not my large ones. So I created a new STD printed on card stock with a poem, and then I have attached the magnets on the bottom of it. It is really cute and came out better than my original plan! I'll have to assemble some tonight and then post a pic.

My pumpkin centerpiece came today, and it is huge! I didn't think that it would be that big, but it looks awesome. I'll probably have to order a few more. It's very cute in person. I had to hide it from my DD though. She thinks it's a toy and was trying to drive it around the house!

I also confirmed my MK & Epcot photoshoot today with DPS and we decided to keep the original date of 12/9/09! I am soooo excited. Karen at DPS said this is our best bet for pics w/o stuff going on in the kingdom. I PRAY that we have enough money saved up for it. This week is one of those weeks where we have had to get into our savings b/c of all sorts of things going wrong and breaking. Plus my Grandmother was nice enough to give us her ancient car for now until we get another vehicle, but that meant also paying for the tags, registration, and insurance. :scared1:

I have signed up for a Masters of Education program after applying for a ton of jobs and getting zero of them. At least I might be able to use some of my financial aid if necessary to pay for my silly MK pics. Shhh! Don't tell Uncle Sam. :rolleyes1

How did I miss new pics of the kiddos?! So cute!
I love all of your projects so far. I think I am going to Michaels and/or JoAnn's today and getting started on some projects, make use of my 3 day weekend.
Yey for booking your MK/Epcot shoot! Jeff and I are still debating it, right now it is at the top of our cut list for when we get our BEO back, but who knows. You will get great pics with the castle lights too!

Oh, and you want to talk organized, you should see where my wedding stuff is. In a pile in our 'dining room' (we don't have a table, we be classy) :rotfl:

I'm so excited you are getting so close. Hope the money thing works itself out, and no worries my friend is living off his financial aid right now so I say go for it to fund your photoshoot :thumbsup2

Becky,
I totally missed the pictures of you in your dress! You'll have to post some again. I've been slowly catching up on everyone's PJ. I can't wait to see some of your crafts. You have such unique and creative ideas! I'll come stop by your pj again and see what you're up to!

I really love the idea of a lot of color at weddings and ceremonies. I found these pics on the web of parasols used as decorations. I love it! They are pretty inexpensive too. I found some at Save On Crafts that are really cheap. So I think I am going to get them when I order my freeze dried rose petals for the cruise. I'll probably take a couple on the cruise for pictures, and then order some for decor for our at home stuff.

I like them in all pink. Dan likes them in Pink and blue. So I think b/c we've got a lot of blue going on, then we'll alternate and use the pink and blue. Here's some inspirations pics

One of the things that I was supposed to have in our wedding was a horse drawn carriage for the whole Cinderella effect. Well, the driver got sick and cancelled on me at the last minute, and I never got my carriage. So for our at home stuff, we are going to get one. I think that Dan and I are going to arrive together and walk down the aisle together for our blessing. Then we are going to do a sand ceremony as a family, walk back down the aisle with our kids and all get into the carriage. We'll probably take a tour around the block and come back to do pics, and then let all the kids get a turn riding around the block.

Here are some pics of the company we are going to use.

This is my seals made with my Mickey Punch.

Here is a picture of the back of my envelope. My DH and I made these out of regular paper b/c we liked the color.
Tanyastuff012.jpg

In that picture are handmade carnations. I made them out of tissue paper and craft wire. I love that they look real. I have been racking my brains over about what I am going to do for centerpieces and floral for my at home stuff. I have some vases that I wanted to put floral gel in, but that just didn't seem special enough. We are going to have several long picnic tables for food and I think that I am going to put the floral gel vases on these tables.

On the round formal tables, I wanted nice centerpieces. So in order to be thrifty - (I've spent a lot of time looking at sites like Off Beat Bride, etc.) I decided to use things that I have in the house. My entire house is decorated in blue, white, and yellow. (Blue is my favorite color!) I have blue toile curtains and decorations everywhere, and blue willow china. I also collect blue transferwear plates, vases, etc. So I have enough vases, pitchers and basins, and all things pretty for centerpieces. None of these were expensive, and they are heavy enough that they won't blow over. Now they aren't Disney, so I was thinking of adding some Mickey bling or something along those lines. But here are some of the things that I want to use for centerpieces, along with my handmade flowers. I've made about 200 of them now. Mainly in fuchsia, white with fuchsia tips, and some blue and yellow ones for the food tables. I want all the ones for the centerpieces on the round tables to be fuchsia.

First off, thanks to everyone for the congratulations! Graduating college was a huge deal for me!

Now on to the VR stuff...

We decided not to move our date. I didn't want to feel rushed trying to get things done. Plus the weather is a major concern. Another concern is my ankle. I don't think that I will be able to walk in heels in a month when I am still in the fracture boot right now.:headache:

And yet another concern is my Grandmother. She is a tough old bird and has been hanging in there. But she is getting worse, and I just don't know what will happen to her. I don't want to be out on the water when she passes. And I won't feel like celebrating anything if she passes right before hand either.:sad1:

So...we are keeping our original date and original plans!

Here is some of the stuff that I have been working on since graduation.

We have moved the kids into one room b/c we are going to have to move the studio into our house. It sucks, but we can't afford to pay the high rent downtown anymore. The rent has gone up recently, and they have now asked us to pay more expenses for other utilities. All of this combined with our tough economy means we can't afford it any more. Plus, after the accident, we had to turn down a lot of jobs and several weddings.

So to make the kids happy, we split the room in half. We painted Kenzie's side of the room purple and did a Disney wall. If you ever go into Home Depot where they sell the Disney paint, they have ideas and themes. So we did the Aurora bedroom. It looks really cool. Check out the pics.

And a couple of my princess, b/c she is too cute!princess:

I just had to tell you that the room looks amazing. The kids must love it!

I love those flowers! I collect blue and white as well. They look so pretty together.

I love your STDs! :goodvibes I now have to come up with one for our home party (which will be on valentines day), and I'm very inspired with ideas from yours!
Also the coach is great beautiful! Love it! :thumbsup2 I
I feel so handicapped in the craft department when it comes to invites! There are some truly amazing ones on these boards. I don't have the time or patience for those. It's funny to me that I inspired you! I have a lot of backgrounds, etc. I'll be happy to help you out.

Love the STDs and the flowers! My goodness! They look real!
Thanks! I'm excited about them. I think for about $20, I'll have over 400 flowers to decorate with. I can't get a better deal anywhere.

I just had to tell you that the room looks amazing. The kids must love it!
Thanks. And hey another reader! The kids love it so much that at night, they stay up playing with each other instead of sleeping. :rotfl:

I love those flowers! I collect blue and white as well. They look so pretty together.
Yay! Glad to know you are reading. I love blue and white too! I have plates hung up all over my house.
I can't wait to see it all put together with the flowers!

So I went into this long winded rant about my family, DCL, and my at home reception, but the computer crashed on me!

It's probably better this way. I'll spare everyone the long explanations.

But here's the quick updates:
I've orderd my crinnie and bought 2 packs of RIT royal blue dye!!!
Can't wait for it to get here.

I've also ordered samples from cards and pockets. I am going to possibly attempt some of these crazy beautiful invites!

I found glass pumkin candy jars at Wal-Mart today in the Halloween stuff! I had to get them for the cake/dessert table.
DSC_0126-1.jpg

I've made about 300 flowers now! I'm still not done, but check it out: This is only about 200 of them.

Just in case of another crash, I decided to break this up into 2 parts.

Due to a lot of drama, which I'll maybe get to later, my family has asked that I have more of a ceremony at home. They also want me to have more attendants. They are really young, so I guess they would qualify as flowergirls! So I agreed and have picked out some stuff for them.

First off, I made this to give to them. I've ordered a mickey bracelet for each of the girls off of e-bay, and I am going to give this to them with it.
Jada.jpg

I also picked out a dress. I want it to be something similar to this:
A8005r1.jpg

I want them to have something different from my DD, b/c I want her to feel special. But it still want it coordinate. Plus I'm loving these colors together:
img-thing.jpg

And last but not least - we are probably going to rent a costume like this one for our reception.

He is called Mr. Mouse and not Mickey! :rolleyes1LOL! :rotfl: He does look a little off, but I don't think that the kids will notice. My disney hating family won't be able to tell the difference either I'm sure! Anyway, we have a friend who wants to do this for us, so I thought it would be fun.

Now if only we could find a Mrs. Mouse...
