momrek06 said:I am 52 y.o. and started this 10 years ago. I would go from April thru July! I would go 3 x a week. I just wanted a little color. I would make sure I would cover myself with suntan lotion prior to tanning and then shower up immediately and cover myself with moisturizer. So far I am not noting any skin damage BUT that said I am not sure what is ahead for me FROM DOING ALL THIS SO FAR. UGH!!!
Well... the good thing about tans, is they cover so many imperfections. The bad thing about tans, is they cause so many imperfections.
The thing is, I didn't notice it either, until I was out of the sun for a year. Then I noticed that my skin wasn't as smooth any longer on my arms, legs and hands. I think my skin is aging a little faster than it should, due to its exposure to the sun.
I have great genes in my family. My mother and my mother's mother had/have beautiful skin. Neither got/go out in the sun. I know I have it my family to look great into my 70's and I feel like I blew it.
