Is this a ride or just something to look at.. DL site says..

"Have a brush with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled, the new Walt Disney Pictures film.

Confined but Coiffed

Rapunzel has been grounded—forever—by evil Mother Gothel, who needs her hair's magical properties to keep her young and beautiful. Cooped up in her tower room, Rapunzel's blonde tresses have grown to nearly 70 feet. Come for a visit and experience this Princess' epic tale—and ponytail!

Throughout the day the roguish thief and adventurer, Flynn Rider, will make appearances to see the golden-haired heroine. Try not to be stunned by "the smolder."

Location

Rapunzel's room is between Pinocchio's Daring Journey and Village Haus in Fantasyland. Keep a look out for the tower with the long, fair locks spilling from the window. "

Cool! Is it like the wait for the princess one?

I don't think it's quite as daunting as the Princess Fantasy Fair...but don't quote me. My daughter has zero interest in Princesses or Fantasyland in general so I'm not positive. There definitely is a line, however.

In the days that I was there I never saw the line for the Rapunzel M&G under 30 minutes and it was usually listed as 60 which is longer than I have waited for PFF in a while (but I go first thing in the am so not sure how that line still gets).

The area for the meet and greet is so cute! We didn't wait for the character, but we did take pictures in front. It has her hair coming out of a window and twisting throughout the facade.

I wonder how long Tangled Meet and greet will be around for. Where exactly in Fantasyland is the meet and greet? Does anyone know?

DD REALLY wanted to see the princess so we waited over an hour and a half for PFF! And yes it was fun and she had a blast BUT the next day ALL of them were at Ariels.. so then I feel like it was a waste... So we probably won't do that again. Does Rapunzel go to Ariels?

It's right when you come through the castle on the....right. I think.

If you enter the castle through the drawbridge it's left. Near the Pinocchio ride. The queue area is directly next to the Pinocchio ride as far as I remember. They converted Gepetto's shop with the crystals to the M&G if I recall correctly.

I don't believe she does, but I can't confirm it. My thinking is because part of the meet & greet spot is so it has her hair all over the place. It wouldn't be the same if she just walked into a room without all the hair. Unless they braided it like they did in the movie, lol. But that sure would be heavy!!

We went the beginning of December and it took us 5 days to actually get to meet her and figure it out. The CM's were actually starting to feel sorry for us and when we finally got in they were so excited :) I'm not sure of the actual times she is there from am to pm. She takes numerous breaks of course, and the line doesn't work like PFF works more like regular character lines in that they only let you line up at a certain time and then they close it off and then reopen it again, close it off, goes like that throughout the day. Check with the CM near Tangled and ask them what time the next "official" line starts, or the different line times, and ask what time they suggest you come back. Pay more attention to the suggested time then the official time. You are not supposed to "line up", but there will be an obvious line up in front of the area. I think we got there about 30 minutes before the official line up started and we were 3rd in line. Once the official line up starts, they open it up and it fills up so quickly and they close it off as soon as it reaches a certain point and you'd have to wait until the next session, and that happens really really fast, at least when we were there.

As for the meet and greet, it was wonderful. Flynn was cute and funny and rapunzel was beautiful, they both spent a good amount of time with DD3 and me, it was so worth it!

So as we are waiting in our unofficial line, about 5 or 10 minutes before the official line up time, this mom and 3 kids comes to the front of the line, and asks the CM for the info, etc. she said, ok, I'll just wait here then, it isn't too long. The CM got this like oh dear look on her face as there was an obvious "non official" huge line waiting and technically there isn't supposed to be a line but there is and always is. All of us in line were like she is not gonna try to do what we think she is going to try to do. Finally the first person in line says, excuse me, there is a line here, and the mom says very rudely, the official line doesn't start for 5 minutes so I'll just wait here. And the person in line says, do you see this line, official or non official there is a line and we've been waiting and if you try to get in front you are going to have everyone in this non official line mad at you. The mom got all huffy, her poor girls were so embarassed and she went to the end of the line. The CM after she left said there is one everytime LOL and that we handled it well. So be ready for anything I guess :)

Have a great time!!!

Is this meet and greet different from the one in WDW? I'm only hearing about Rapunzel but not Flynn Ryder, and it sounds like to me that it's just a meet and greet, not a song and dance routine like the one in WDW.

Just a meet & greet from as far as I know. Flynn has been there with Rapunzel for the meet & greet. My cousin came back not too long ago and met both.

do you know if she is any where else in the park? I really don't like waiting in line for 4052349572983475 hours to see characters lol

I don't think she's anywhere else.

As to the "line" its actually handled very poorly imo. First, the day program said rapunzel would be there at 11am but as it turned out, she wasn't to be there until noon. We went up to the cm about 11:15 and asked and were told we could sit over in the chairs to the right of the line entrance until the "official" line was to open (15 mins before). A group of about 10 of us did so then made our way to the line opening about 25 mins before noon. After we'd been standing there about 10 mins (the "official" line opening time) someone came up to us and said with a very snotty tone "there's a line back here!" this came as news to us.

The cm then said to all of us that it wasn't an "official" line but an "unofficial" one ... a sort of line to wait in line I guess. We were all pretty bugged because we'd been there for well over 30 mins at that point and if we'd been told there was an "unofficial" line we'd have gotten into it. The people in the "unofficial" line were understandably bothered as well. The cm just said "don't worry about it (to us) and sorry (to her), there is no "line" until 15 mins before. The group of us got some nasty looks but honestly the whole thing was ridiculous.

Then, when you're on deck for rapunzel they stop you but there's a walk way there from people exiting something. As we stood there waiting, I watched a few groups just walk up to the rapunzel door and then were immediately greeted in skipping the entire "official" and "unofficial" line process.

The meet and greet is great!! My dd was thrilled to meet rapunzel and flynn but the line, not so great.

I sure hope it's not so unorganized next moth. That's one meet and great we will have to do with my DGD4.:)
