The rotisserie chicken..is it good? Does it come "plain"? I know it is served with yellow rice but I don't really care for exotic sauces..spices I'm ok with..yeah, I'm weird! LOL!! Also the meatball platter...do you just get 2 dry meatballs or is there a sauce? Oh yeah, is the rotisserie platter large enough to share?
Anyone know?

We have had the chicken shwarma platter and it came with a yogurt sauce. I'm sure you could ask them to leave it off. The chicken was not spicy, however we liked the lamb better and I have never been a fan of lamb.

I have no idea about the meatballs.

The cafe is sort of a buffeteria style. Think of it as morrocan panda express.

You can see if a sauce looks edible, or ask for a tiny sample before they slather it on. Or get it on the side.

You should be fine.

I guess I'll just have to look it all over when I get there. Worse comes to worse I'll get a kids meal!!! Not too many people replying..I thought this place was popular...hmmm.....interesting.
Thanks to you guys though! If you think of anything else let me know!!

we got the chicken and lamb swarma( sp) platter and didn't think any of it was "weirdly" spiced, actually i wouldn't have minded alittle more spice if anything...garlicy and the tabbouleh has mint in it...we really liked it imo one of the best carry outs

lol !just read the op again and you said sauced...ok for get the spiced stuff.... just the normal gyro type sauce on this one from what i recall

The yellow rice is just yellow rice, mildly spiced, no sauce.
The meatballs are kinda bland, with a tomato based, not too spicy sauce.

I wasn't impressed.

I think the chicken is great. It's got a wonderful flavor and is always tender. As mentioned previously, the rice is somewhat bland. If you don't care for any exotic spices/sauces, you will probably like it.

We ended up unexpectedly here last october -- we were hungry, and there was no line and plenty of tables (it was late for lunch). We were delighted with all of our food, including the chicken -- it was the surprise hit of the trip. We found all the food to be very fresh, very well prepared, and all tasty without being overly exotic or strange -- proof is that our 7 y-o DS ate every scrap of his meal! Enjoy, especially since it's probably different from what you'd find at home....

It is a misconception that the food is spicy. It is quite safe for people who dont like spices.
