Tampa Car Rental

I am going to Tampa in the beginning of August and I have a $200 rate for 7 days from Alamo and Thrifty for an SUV. Do any of you have any experience with either agency in Tampa International or with renting an SUV from either? Thanks!

I have rented from Alamo a few times in Tampa. No problems with them.
I would not use Thrifty on a bet, but, that is just me.

Do you use QUIKSILVER? Also when you rent from Tampa Alamo do you get to pick from any available car in that class?

Yes, I sure did. No, the car was assigned by the kiosk, but, that was a few years ago and things have changed.

Is it worth the time to sign up for quiksilver if its gonna be my only time renting with alamo?

No not really, as it is a program for businesses.

We got an SUV from TPA in May from Budget. We had no problems, except for one minor one. All of the car rental agencies had two people staffing their desks, and Budget only had one. I think someone called in sick. Anyway, we were in line for 30 mins while every other agency had no line at all. Nothing you can do about that! I would rent from them again, though.
