They have to be linked to a MDE Profile at the time of purchase (just like all retail MagicBand purchases). If someone sells one, it would have to be as a collectible.
I'm sorry but I cannot bring myself to pay $30 for a piece of plastic that it cost Disney less than $5 to make. Let alone the fact that it will be useless in three years when the battery dies. I may be willing to pay $300+ a night to stay at a deluxe resort but I, for some odd reason, would never buy these bands no matter what noise it makes.

Yes I get that but when the regular MBs first came out you wouldn't believe the prices people were getting on eBay I think some people even sold & people purchased the empty boxes they came in
My same exact response. I think the younger kids would think it was the coolest thing. I am sure it will sell. Especially if guests who aren't staying on property want magic bands.
I believe Disney is probably just testing the waters with these limited edition magic bands. Look for many more and different versions in the future. We did the Star Wars themed dinner @ Hollywood and Vine. Disney sent me a survey about it. They are looking to seperate us from our money every chance they get. Just my opinion.
