Talk to me about purses/bags/backpacks - recommendations

I just feel like that big bag would get very hot in the summertime. When I used to wear a backpack, my back would be way too hot. I feel that would be the same thing except on the front.

My bagg doesn't sit right up on my back the way I adjust it. It kind of hangs down and out a little. My back doesn't get hot with this bagg unless I cinch it up tight.

for all the baggallini users:

I normally don't like cross-body purses because the weight of them always pulls on them and the shoulder strap feels like it's cutting into my neck. Do you feel this at all with the baggallini?

I have this bag http://sherpani.us/product.aspx?bO3FscouH=1&GQd0EjaqX=3&pmdoXJC4W=138# in green which is stinkin' cute and would probably otherwise be good at DL but I had that annoying strangling feeling when wearing it.

They are adjustable, so you can have them however you want them. I've found with mine that if I want it tighter, I have to adjust it fairly often because the adjustment. .. thingy.... tends to slide down, but I love the other features of the bag so much it doesn't even signify.

That is exactly what mine does. Actually, I find it kind of annoying that it doesn't stay where i want it. But fortunately we usually either have it hanging on the stroller or DH has been nice enough to wear it (we have the black one) or sometimes I just hang it off of one shoulder. I like that it is not too big but seems to hold a lot of stuff.

I use that crazy Buxton bag that’s on the infomercials. Well the one I have is a knock off and I got it at Marshalls. I love it. I usually have a hard time wearing bags across my shoulders because they make my shoulder hurt, but this one I don’t have a problem with at all. I can fit 2 water bottles in. I also keep a little bottle of lotion, hand sanitizer, chap stick, our camera, my cell phone, and some sun screen. DBF holds in the FPs and APs in his wallet. I just push it forward on my lap when I go on rides.

I did do a fanny pack on my birthday trip last year. It was fine, but it was a little cramped. I could fit a water bottle in it, but that was pretty much it.

Kerri, that bag is really cute!! :)

I know!!!! I seriously love it! :) It's super cute and so practical and while it's not LIME green, it is still green. And I love his sequin sparkly pants too, I didn't think I would but for Micky, they are so perfect! :)

I use one of those water bottle straps for my water. (Does DL sell them? I got mine at Animal Kingdom.) My husband and I take turns wearing it. So my fanny pack fits everything I need (which isn't much.)

Do you mean the water bottle lanyards? If so then yes they sell them, DD9 has one. She doesn't use it much tho, she has a small backpack that she carries around with her and she keeps her water bottle in there. :) My bag is small enough that I don't get hot.

I agree! Personally, I like my bagg loose, but it can be adjusted however you want it! I put my wallet in the pocket against the back, and I put my APs and my dd birth card in the front pocket on the strap for easy access. My dd likes to wear her Cinderella dress in, but she is almost as tall as me! The last time we went, security questioned me about her age. She was kind of curt. I told her I would be happy to show her the birth card. She backed off right away. I have a different bagg that I carry closer to home. It doesn't have as much space for stuff, but I like that everything is handy at the front, and I have my hands free for the kids. Here is the link for that one. http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/uptown_bagg_crinkle_nylon/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=107614 I have to say that I was a person that would buy new purses all the time. I saw the picture of a new small messenger type bag that is being sold at DLR or WDW with 09 on it, but it doesn't even appeal to me anymore. The two baggs that I have are all that I need!

This happened to a group in front of us when we were there a few weeks ago. We were headed into DCA and there was a young Asian family in front of us, they had 2 young kids in strollers. The CM was very rude to them, she almost didn't let them in the park because they said the older child was "too big and next time he needed a ticket". Ummm, it's based on age, not size lady. Then she was super sweet to us, as if we hadn't just heard her being uber rude to the previous guests. :confused3

OMG, that bad is so cute!!!!! I love it in the purple color that it defaults to. :) Very cute!!!! I have the same hold up about cross body purses but I have one that's a Coach bag and I love it, I use it for visits to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and if/when we go to our local 6 Flags (which is almost never lol) the zoo, etc etc. Anyway, I liked that one so when I saw the Mickey one I had to have it, I'm so glad I got it too!! It's the perfect size and it doesn't hurt my shoulders too bad. I switch sides regularly as well so I think that probably helps. :)

Yep. I love mine. I bought it last year and it's gotten tons of use. Not only at Disney parks, but also at the zoo and when I take walks around the neighborhood. I was going to buy one at DL last week but I didn't see any and I forgot to go looking for one.

The opposite happens to us. Whenever we are getting our hands stamped, they assume DS3 doesn't need one I guess because he looks younger than 3. I always have to tell them that he needs a stamp too.

ok thanks guys, I just ordered a khaki baggallini ;) DH is going to freak out at YET ANOTHER bag/purse/whatever :rotfl2:

This is for pixiewings hi i saw your post about the mickey bag, i don't sell avon anymore but i buy from a friend, i was wondering how bright of green it is lol, i also like the mickey weekender is it cute? i have a buxton one from the info mersials and i do love it but the leather stretches, i would love a baggalini but to get it to canada i would spending well over double of original price lol.

They may not have them out now but I'm sure they will still have them. :) It might not be warm enough, I didn't notice if they were out a few weeks ago but when we go again next weekend I can watch for them. DBF got a clip that has a stretchy plastic mickey head on one side, you slip your bottle thru that and the other side is a carbiner clip. He wears that hooked to his lanyard. :)

That's funny! It all depends on the CM I guess. I just thought she was overly rude to these people.

It's actually very true to the colors shown on the website. A darker green with a lighter green stripes. I don't have the weekender, I almost got it but Lord knows I do not need another weekender bag! LOL

Another vote for the Bagallini messenger bag.
I like carrying my cell in the part that goes across the chest.
I have to be available for my business while on vacation and it's nice because I could feel it vibrate. I also have downloaded a DL and CA app on the phone and it made it easy to get to whenever I wanted to check something out.

Of the two pockets on the side, one is for a water bottle, the other a camera.

Cards go in the flat front pocket.

Thanks i would be usuing the weekender as a carry on lol we do have a couple that came with our suitcases but this one is cute lol, i would probably also bring it to disneyland and put under stroller so everything could go into it and my kids would not have to carry anything lol.
How long is the strap on the cross body , i know it says 43 inches but that is not that long for it to fit very loose
Thanks

Well I haven't measure it but it fit very well across my body. I'm average size, 5'4" about *gasp* 140 lbs (man, I so need to lose 20 lbs!) I have a little play left in mine and it's not tight.

I like the Coach swingpacks:

They are a bit pricey, but you can get them deeply discounted on ebay. For me, its the perfect size for the essentials, and not to mention CUTE!

I have the black Penelope, that's what enticed me to get the Mickey bag. :)

I carried a baggalini messenger for our last trip and really liked it. I got it from bagsbuy.com :
http://www.bagsbuy.com/baggallini-mes160-messenger-bagg/121602/285133 It's cheaper there right now, than on ebags, plus it's free shipping. Last fall they had a discount code which was "save10" which took $10 off, but I don't know if that still works.

I just wanted to add that I just got this bag! :cool1: I've been eyeing it for months, and pulled the trigger because I got it for under $25 shipped! The $10 off code still works, and if you haven't ordered from them before, they deduct 10% off your order when you register with them during checkout. My final total was $24.70. Thanks for the tip!

When I am going some where and I need my hands free, I use a fanny pack. I got a basic black one from Target. It holds enough. Since I will be getting my children their own when we go, (hubby refuses to wear one) ugh, killjoy, lol, I know we will have plenty of room for snacks, wallet, etc. Someone on this board mentioned a water bottle clip. I purchased a dozen of them in assorted colors. They work great! Everyone will carry a water bottle and be hands free.
I hope you have a great time when you go.

Oh do you mean aqua clips? I heard about those here and bought a bunch of them. We use those too. :)

I use a fanny pack and sling it over my shoulder like a messenger bag, same concept as the baggalini. When Im getting on rides I just turn it so that it doesnt interfere with anything, and I only spent $5 at walmart for it...I know....good deal right?
lol

Those with small backpacks do you take turns watching the backpack? Can you bring it on the ride with you? It’s been years since I’ve been to Disneyland and I only had to worry about myself then! Thanks!
