2004 started off on a good note. We found a house and our bid was accepted. We were scheduled to close January 30.

The packing started at the beginning of the month. Then that day came January 21 around 2 in the afternoon. My dad died in his sleep. What a mess!!! My life has changed so much. I miss him daily. I feel like I need to tell my SO how I feel about her all the time. Forgot about the house.

Closing came and went. Yeah we have a house. OMG we have a house. We need to pack. I have no time to pack, I have to get caught up in my classes.

Well just as things start to return to normal ( well as normal as they can be without my dad:( . We got a call this weekend. My SO grandmother, who is in a nursing home with alzheimers has stopped eating and can not sit up. They do not expect her to last much longer. More sadness. I am not sure what to feel because I never met her. I am very sad for my SO and her family. I am not sure what to say or do.

I am not sure I can handle all this stress. My psoriasis has spread due to the stress. I feel itchy all over.

I know this is how life is sometimes, but I wish I could spread this all over more time.

If you all have a few moments, pray for my SO's family.

You must feel very stressed out. I've prayed that God will give you and everyone else you have mentioned just what you need to get you through these difficult times.

As everyone used to tell me when I was frantically trying to do anything I could to save my mother.....baby steps...one little step at a time & you'll get through it. So here is my advice to you...

baby steps....one small step at a time.....

Hang in there. There just has to be major bumps in the road for us to appreciate when we have a smooth going....

Whew, femmegirl you have a lot on your plate right now. I'm so sorry about the loss of your father. Peace to your soul.

Please don't worry overmuch about what to say or do for your SO regarding her grandmother. You'll be there for her and be supportive and that is as it should be.

All the pixie dust there is for you in this very difficult journey.

That is a lot to deal with~I can sympathize about the psoriasis- I know it's miserable!
I'll say a prayer for you & for your SO & her family:grouphug:
Remember that we're here all the time if you need to talk.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. My dear Dad has been gone a year. It takes time, I still have good days and bad days.

Sometimes life has a way of dealing us more than we can seem to handle, but God will not give us more than we can bear. Hopefully these stepping stones will include some brighter days in your near future. Hang in there and keep the faith. ^i^

Your SO will appreciate you just being there.
