Hi,

I have seen this magazine subscription on the internet. It is sent out quarterly and is suppsed to have loads of info about Disney in it, news, ideas etc. Does anyone get this magazine and if so what is it like? Would you reccommend it and what are the free gifts?

Wow - never heard of it before now, so googled it. Looks pretty good.

Where did you see subscription details? I might give it a try.

A four issue subscription is $45 including postage to Europe. On the website click on 'buy tales' and it gives subscription information there

Yep, I am a charter member and pal of the team that produce it. Get it, it is a wonderful publication and the team, some who work for DIsney, give a great view of everything going on around the globe! It is awesome.

A mixture of stories and interviews with pictures of all things Disney - Parks (from across the globe), theatrical productions, and films. Also some great interviews at times with animators, composers and imagineers.

It is a high caliber production made by professionals (it is not a fanzene). It is supported (morally - at least til D23 fully comes on line) by Disney, and is even sold in the Tokyo Disneyland Parks. You can also see copies at Castle China in Warwick where they can be bought individually (and Dave ships) or they can be bought individually from Laughing Place.

Here is the official site:

It is not some sharing of family photos, or the "silly" sides of Disney, this is for people that really want to know the in delpth detail, history, creative direction, and what is coming down the tracks.

The team comprise of a pro graphic designer, a Disney senior person with a great track record, and a wonderful news team who bring info together from around the globe.

Hope this helps

:woohoo: I'm sure you won't be dissapointed

I have a subscription...it's an over-sized magazine on fairly thick paper. The artwork and the photography are always quite nice. I found out about it from a blog entry on allears.net. I like it quite a bit - I like all the background information and knowing how things work. It IS expensive though - so there's a chance I might not renew the subscription if I like D23 better, or as much.

Just to address one of the original questions - there is no free gift. The cost is just for the subscription.

ooops, didn't see the free gift query. There was a free ltd edition pin for charter subscribers, but there are no free gifts now.

In one of the back issues, number 9 I think is a very good article about DLRP being 15 years old. I highy recomend the magazine.
