Talent Show Info??

Wondering about the talent show on the Magic? What kinds of thing do people do for their "talent". I love to sing, but I'll probably just stick to keroke night for that.....
I thought it'd be fun to think of something to do, but wondered what others have seen while on board in the past.

On our Eastern cruise last November on the Magic, our daughter's friend was in the junior talent show. Speaking for that age range only (we didn't see the adult show), mostly everyone was a singer. However, there were some dance routines and one comedy skit. It was kind of a surprise to us that there weren't any prizes at all. I guess, technically, since they called it a Talent "Show" and not a Talent "Contest", there wouldn't be any prizes. But, I thought they'd at least give the kids a token of something.

Note that they do have a rehearsal, and our daughter's friend said that the Dueling Piano guys accompanied those that needed it, and they were not very friendly. They seemed bothered that they had to play for these kids.

If you do need accompaniment, try to bring your own sheet music. Otherwise, they are prepared with a CD/Tape player for you.

I'm also curious about the talent show. Is it a judged "contest" or is it more of a show?

I'll have two girls with me who love to dance and want to do this event.

I will go back on the Coz-mo-s to get the nerve up to make an *** of myself singing!!!! But it's all in fun, thats the great part!
