Takumi-Tei at Epcot offering a new prix fixe menu

Crazy. We go twice each trip.
Ummmmm...no way. Ridiculous if this is all you can get.

Anybody know if they can substitute for the seafood dishes? We loved Takumi-tei before it was fixed price but I'm allergic to seafood so we skipped it last time. The plant-based one doesn't interest me plus the old menu had items on that I am also allergic to. I really want to go back but I'm not paying $250 to be able to eat two items and dessert.

We did the Omakase Tasting menu last fall with the Sake pairing. It wasn't cheap, but was 3 hours +, and was the best meal of the trip by far. Second time there and did not disappoint.

Are they removing A5 wagyu and replacing it with non-graded? That's unfortunate, since I feel like it's a big part of an expensive Japanese meal.

I hate the prix fixe menu trend that has been happening at Disney. The fact that they tend do also cut down the selection of menu items while doing so makes it even worse. We ate at Takumi-Tei when it first opened as a normal restaurant. It was an absolutely beautiful experience and I wish we'd had the chance to go again before the menu changes.

We can't justify the cost when Morimoto Asia is close enough in quality and much more reasonable in price.

I agree. I am waiting to see if someone reviews it with the new menu to know exactly how it has changed. I went there when if first opened and another time since. The first time was the best. It was a great experience. The second time, while still good, lacked a little polish and seemed more commercial as the waitress kind of pushed the Wagu stating it was the best deal. Though good, not the same experience as the Wagu tasting they used to offer. Now seems like another step down.

We have dines at most oF the Signature restaurants on property & the highlight being Victoria & Alberts.
We have seen a few mixed reviews & are still unsure of this place. The price at $250 seems a little hefty & the experience lasts for around 2hrs, we paid $295 at V&A & the experience lasted 4.5hrs.
We may try it on a future trip as the food does look really good.

To me, that's ridiculously expensive! Five hundred dollars (plus tax and tip) for two people. And now you get no discount for eating no meat.
