Guess I'll start with strollers - my kids will be 5 1/2, 4 and 22 months. I figured I'd just rent a double stroller. I have had many people tell me not to because my youngest one won't be able to sleep in it.

What do you all think?

I'm so excited to have found this board - I have so many questions and everyone I know in real life is sick of hearing about my trip!!! :rotfl:

:sunny: Hi!

Just wanted to let you know that I've always found the Disney strollers to be just fine. Of course, the youngest child I've ever taken was 3 and that's a little different than 22 months.

The last time we rented strollers, my DS was 5 and he was able to fit comfortably. I have never had one try to sleep in the stroller, so I am unable to answer that for you.

Renting strollers has always made more sense to me. It's the solution that results in less stress for me. Of course, you'll probably have many others telling you just the opposite...depends on the person, I guess. :earsgirl:

I agree about rentling the strollers! My teens were 3, 4, and 5 when we first began visiting and thye all used the strollers (DS 5 claimed they were using Disney magic to make all the parks too big!) :flower:
Anyway I have seen many a hot & tired Mommy or Daddy trying to carry a bulky stroller and a cranky toddler onto a bus :sad2: not my idea of fun!

I would bring a small CONFORTABLE lightweight stroller for the 22 month old, it will be nice to have in the airport if you are driving or even the long walk back to your room. I'd plan on renting a double stroller the first day to test it with the 22 month old and if they do well in it problem solved if not, then you have your stroller as a back up. Also, don't be surprised if your 5.5 y/0 and your 4 y/o want to ride in the double stroller, it is a very big part for little feet.

We always bring our own stroller, but we only have one child.

Now my unsolited advice, whatever you do, take a break during the day. Get to the parks early, and take a mid-afternoon break. Accept the fact that you won't see everything. I have many children (older ones too) having a meltdown b/c they are hot, tired and over stimulated w/ parents yelling that their vacation is ruined. When the parents shouldn't have pushed them in the first place. Only you know what your kids can handle, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Most of all, have fun planning it's 1/2 the fun :)

I'd also bring a stroller for the 22 month old - you'll be glad that you have it in the airport, around the resort, on the way out of the parks at night when all three kids are too tired to walk, etc. Go ahead and rent either a single for the 4 year old or a double for the two oldest, as needed.

I love the Dis strollers. So easy for them to get in and out of. I just bring a sweatshirt or something they can ball up into a pillow. If a kid is tired enough they will sleep anywhere (although we do take a mid day break).

When my kids were younger (5 months and, 2 years) we took one of ours and rented a single, but at 1.5 & 3 they both wanted the dis stroller so the last 2 times (2 & 4) we rented a double and they loved it. I have some adorable pictures of them alseep on each other in the stroller.
