Taking DS friends with us, what do I need?

We are planning a 7 day cruise in 2005, and it is DS 16th birthday gift. We will be bringing my DS 2 friends. What documentation do I need besides their birth certificates/passports?

I believe you need letters signed by their parents, authorizing you to seek/provide medical care as needed. A bottle of aspirin for yourself might be a good idea, too.
