Is there any problem with taking the boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge if you are not staying at it? I know some trans. like the resort monorail you must show your resort card to ride.
I want to check out the WL and see if I can do it with my scooter on the boat OK before booking there in the future.

There should be no problem what so ever. I have never had to show any sort of id.

There's no problem taking the boat to WL or FW from MK. Also, I've never heard that they check resort ID's for riding the monorail - if they check ID's, it is likely only when the crowds are highest.

Actually,Disney encourages Guests to visit the Resorts because that will lead to Guests dining at the Resort restausants and shopping at Resort shops as well as possibly booking future trips at Disney Resorts.:) The end result is MGM{Mickey Gets Money}!:) The only time it might ever become an issue would be at park closing when many Guests are trying to get "home" to their Resort at the same time.:)

Guests used to have to show their resort ID to ride the buses and boats, but that hasn't been the case for many years now. I used to always worry I'd drop it in the water when getting on the boats, especially back when they used the paper ID cards (anyone remember those?).

The only problem you may have is because of the scooter. If the water level is too low in the lake, they do not take scooters on the boat. The boat would sit too low for you to load. You would have to take the bus to MK in that case. I don't know how often this has happened, but there is a sign posted about the possibility.

No resort cards, I.D.s, etc. are required to use any of the WDW transportation at any time.

Regarding the boats and assuming your 'scooter' is what's known as an ECV, ECVs can be accommodated only on the ferry boats and motor cruisers. Under NO circumstances are ECVs allowed on the motor launches - the smallest of the WDW Watercraft servicing the MK and resorts on Seven Seas Lagoon, as well as the CR , WL and the FWC on Bay Lake.

Normally, the motor crusiers run from the MK to the WL and the FWC so you shouldn't have a problem.

However, if you want to go from the WL to the CR (and/or return), you will have to take a boat or bus back to the MK and then the monorail to the CR.

:thumbsup2 Yep, sure do, they even had a stamp they used on some cards to mark them "Transportation Only" if you didn't want then used for charging.

No problem at all. It's a really nice ride, and you'll get off near the main courtyard pool which is beautiful.

You should either catch a quick dinner at Roaring Forks or a sit down dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe and don't forget to ask for ketchup. :rotfl:

You will not need any sort of ID for busses, boats or monorails.
