Taking boat from BW to Epcot and MGM????

Hi!
Got a question.


We are staying at BWV for the first time.
Can we hop on the boat @ Epcot and transfer from Epcot directly to MGM or do we have to take the Epcot boat back to BW and hop another boat to MGM. I know this sounds confusing bit we are trying to fit a early CP and Fanstasmic in in one evening.
Brave...yes we are!!

Well, I thought a boat switch was needed myself, but:

We were there 3 weeks ago. Caught the MGM boat coming back, and after the Swan, we asked the CM if this boat was going all the way to EPCOT. We were surprised when she said yes. Anyway, we got off at the YC/BC, to check out the pool, and as we were walking the last 200 yds to EPCOT, sure enough, here comes the same boat.

So, as of 3 weeks ago, the same boat will take you between the parks.

I concur with that opinion from staying there this summer. Though I find when the boats are either busy or not at the dock or approaching the dock when you get to it and with all the stops the boat has to make , you may find it quicker to walk. I found myself walking to and from MGM and Epcot every time cause it was just quicker and a nice walk. Specially that time of year when it's comfortable temperatures but the boats could be crowded... However, if you get to the dock and the boat is there and ready to go and there's room, take it!

On the way back from MGM it is a lot quikcer to get off at the Swan/Dolphin dock and walk ver the bridge to the Boardwalk. You will always beat the boat's arrival at the BWV.

The boats do a complete round trip:

Epcot
BW
YC/BC
Swan/Dolphin
MGM
Swan/Dolphin
YC/BC
BW
Epcot

If you are standing at the BW dock and look straight across to the YC/BC dock, if there's a boat on the right side it will be coming over to BW to go to Epcot. A boat on the left side is heading to MGM, you just missed it.
