With the £ being strong against the $ at the moment has anyone booked a hotel using a US site paying the $ rate and if so did they make much of a saving. :surfweb:

We have paid in advance for 3 nights at St Pete. We only intended to pay one night's deposit but the hotel charged it twice in error. When DH phoned to sort it out, as the rate was so good (think it was 1.86 or 1.88) he decided to pay the third night in full whilst the going was good rather than them refund it and us maybe lose out.

I'm currently paying off a Disney Cruise with Dreams Unlimited. Have been paying $200 off each month on my credit card. My first payment (back quite a few months ago now) cost me £117, while my latest payment was only £108, so if the rate stays like this, I'm probably saving about £90 on the cruise in total compared to what I would have paid at the old $ rate.
