I'm a little confused and member services isn't open right now.

we were thinking of taking a short trip to Vermont this summer since we won't be coming to WDW until next year and using some of our points for the room.

I went onto dvcmembers.com and looked up the section on the world passport collection

there is a "click here" options that takes you to disney.intervalworld.com where you click on the region you wish to stay at.

here's were i am getting confused. in the current DREAM book there is a resort called Topnotch at Stowe VT and it gives you the points it would take - but on the intervalworld website that resort isn't there, instead these two were.

Eagles at Sugarbush Waitsfield, Vermont

Trapp Family Lodge & Guest Houses • TFL

we were looking the Trapp Family Lodge and it looks beautiful but is it really part of the DVC?

where would i find out how many points it would take?

I think Topnotch is in the DVC in the Concierge Collection (at least I think that's what it's called - I couldn't find my book). The 2 other VT resorts that you mentioned aren't really DVC but you can "trade off" (not sure of that term) DVC points to stay there. The Equinox Hotel used to be on the DVC list, too. Not sure if it still is but that's a really lovely old restored hotel in southern VT (Manchester). Great outlet shopping. Plenty of outdoor activities esp fly fishing and falconry.

Please don't take my word for it, I get confused very easily, but I found this in the "Vacation Planner 2006-2007",

2006 Vacation Points Per Week - World Passport Collection, Interval International

Low Season one bedroom 124 two bedroom 207
Mid Season 144 252
High Season 160 270

2007 Points are not listed

Exchanges are for seven night increments (usually weekend to weekend)

I just realized that this is 2007 so this really doesn't help at all. I told you I get confused easily.

If you are thinking of taking only a short trip, trading out to Interval might not be the best option for you. You've got to stay a full week with them. The hotels in the Concierge Collection allow for day-by-day reservations. To check the number of points/night, click on the View Points Chart option on the right-hand side of the page. Then scroll down until you see the link for the Concierge Collection. That will open a page with the point charts for you.

Referring to the same book, Topnotch at Stowe is in the Concierge Collection. Points for '06 are as follows - 07 is not listed

Based on double occupancy, per night - may be additional charge for additional person and/or roll-away bed.

4/9 - 11/30 - 28 pts.

1/2 - 1/11, 3/26 - 4/8 - 49 pts.

1/12 - 3/25 - 93 pts.

we found the points chart for topnotch and my jaw dropped :scared1: 38 points per night???

OUCH

maybe we'll go to HH instead :)

Now you know why I say the CC, DC and DCL are over priced and not a good exchange value. See if you can rent something at Trapp Family Lodge or similar for cash, you could always rent out your points to cover it if you needed and have points or $$$ left over.

If you are considering VT - why not check out the Sagamore on Lake George (I'm a little biased here since it is just up the road from me - literally...) But it is a great resort. I don't know the points trade out, though - but I believe it is CC, not interval.
